Role: Senior Full Stack Developer
Position Type: Full-Time Contract (40hrs/week)
Contract Duration: 3+months (with a possibility of extensions)
Work Schedule: 8 hours/day (Mon-Fri)
Location: 100% Remote Candidates can work from anywhere in LATAM or India
ROLE SUMMARY
Serves as the technical lead for the POC build, owning the end-to-end technical implementation from database through server and API to browser. Sets engineering standards and architecture within the provided guidelines, drives the integration and security workstreams, and provides direction to the Developer. Accountable for delivering a working, security-reviewed POC structured to carry forward cleanly into the MVP.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Build the full-stack application from the wireframe and architecture guidelines.
- Own technical design and architecture across front end, back end, and data layers.
- Design and build RESTful APIs and integrations with external services.
- Lead BI integrations (Tableau Cloud, Power BI / Fabric, Sigma), including embedding and auth.
- Design user management, role-based access, and security controls to BCG standards.
- Implement Okta authentication (SSO and OIDC).
- Stand up CI/CD (GitHub, Octopus) and DEV / TST / PRD environments on SMP (AWS).
- Design the user-management database (PostgreSQL / RDS or comparable).
- Establish the testing approach; oversee unit, integration, and load testing.
- Optimize performance across front end, back end, and database.
- Lead the application through BCG's Security Architecture Review.
- Apply AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Claude Code) and set good practices.
- Direct, code-review, and mentor the Developer; maintain technical documentation.
- Work within the Agile process and report progress weekly.
TECHNICAL SKILLS
Front end — Expert JavaScript / TypeScript, HTML5 / CSS3, and a modern framework (React preferred); responsive, cross-browser UI
Back end — Strong server-side development in one or more of Node.js, .NET, Python, or Java
Databases — Relational schema design and SQL optimization (PostgreSQL / Amazon RDS)
APIs & integration — RESTful API design and consumption; embedding third-party BI tools
Auth & security — SSO, OIDC / OAuth 2.0, role-based access control; secure-coding best practices
DevOps & cloud — Git, CI/CD (GitHub, Octopus), AWS; DEV / TST / PRD environments
Testing — Unit, integration, and load testing; performance optimization
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 8+ years of professional full-stack software development experience, including a technical-lead role on custom web applications built from the ground up.
- Strong proficiency across a modern front-end framework (e.g., React) and a back-end stack (e.g., Node.js, .NET, Python, or Java).
- Hands-on AWS experience, including building and hosting applications in a secured cloud environment.
- Proven experience designing and securing user management, authentication, and role-based access.
- Direct experience integrating Okta (SSO, OIDC) or an equivalent identity provider.
- CI/CD experience with GitHub and Octopus Deploy (or comparable) across multiple environments.
- Relational database design experience (PostgreSQL / Amazon RDS or similar).
- Experience preparing applications for formal security reviews and remediating findings.
- Experience leading or working in Agile teams (Scrum / Kanban), including sprint ceremonies.
- Working knowledge of AI-assisted development tools and how to apply them responsibly in a production-quality codebase.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
