The role we are offering you:

 

By joining our team, you will have the opportunity to work on the MADXR. The MADXR (Magnetic Anomaly Detection) is the latest generation of avionics system installed onboard surveillance airplanes and helicopters which allows for real time detection of submarines (hyperlink to product demo). The system has successfully demonstrated performance during test flights and is entering high volume production rate. Our engineering team is faced with the challenge of standardizing the product to enable mass production and prepare the next generation of systems. Are you ready to:

 

  • Contribute to the improvement and modernization of test bench software.
  • Participate in the creation of automated test benches and their documentation.
  • Work with the production team to improve existing processes.
  • Learn and apply industry best practices in software development.
  • Support the engineering team in various continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Write automated unit tests for test software.
  • Develop Python scripts for data analysis.
  • Contribute to frontend development and database tools.

 

Our ideal candidate has:

 

  • Proficiency in object-oriented C/C++ programming. C# is an asset. Python is an asset.
  • Knowledge of electronics. Ability to read basic electrical schematics and datasheets.
  • Experience in microcontroller programming and basic understanding of UART/I2C protocols is an asset.
  • Dynamic team player with a strong sense of initiative.
  • Self-sufficient with the ability to tolerate ambiguity.
  • Curiosity and a desire to learn.
  • An intuitive understanding of manufacturing processes is an asset.

Preferred Education


  • Pursuing a undergraduate degree in electrical/software engineering or a related field.

 

Location of the internship is in CAE at 8585 Cote-de-Liesse Saint-Laurent, Québec H4T 1G6 Canada.

 

Internship will be carried out in person.

 

*All applicants must be legally entitled to work in Canada and must meet the requirements of the Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP). All hires will be required to complete, sign and return the Controlled Goods Program form within a week of its transmittal. They must also provide a copy of their passport or birth certificate. All students with a work permit must provide a copy of it and a police clearance certificate from the country or countries where they have resided in the past five years.

 

*Please take note that if you are on a student, work or international student permit, the delays for the security background check take minimum 16 weeks.
