THE WORK:
Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Java 17+, Spring Framework, and Spring Boot 3.x
Work with Nasdaq Calypso platform to support and enhance financial systems
Integrate messaging systems such as Kafka, JMS/ActiveMQ, or RabbitMQ
Develop and optimize database queries using SQL Developer
Implement testing strategies (unit, integration, and functional) using JUnit and related tools
Apply secure coding practices and contribute to improving application reliability and performance
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, maintainable solutions based on clean code and design patterns
Flexible: The work location for this role may include a mix of working remotely, onsite at a client or in an Accenture office - depending on specific project circumstances. With all our roles, there is some in-person time for collaboration, learning and building relationships with clients, peers, leaders, and communities. As an employer, we will be as flexible as possible to support your specific work/life needs.

HERE’S WHAT YOU’LL NEED:
3+ years of commercial experience as a Java Backend Developer
Experience with Nasdaq Calypso software
Strong knowledge of Java 17+, Spring Framework, and Spring Boot 3.x
Experience with messaging platforms such as ActiveMQ/JMS, Kafka, or RabbitMQ
Experience with SQL Developer
Experience in writing tests (unit, integration, functional) using JUnit or similar libraries
Understanding of secure coding practices and common application vulnerabilities
Solid knowledge of object-oriented programming, design patterns, and clean code principles
Understanding of application observability concepts, including logging and metrics
Good written and spoken English (B2+)
Ownership mindset, proactive attitude, and strong communication skills

BONUS POINTS IF YOU HAVE:
Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, Helm)
Knowledge of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or ArgoCD
Familiarity with GitOps practices
Experience with Docker and Kubernetes/OpenShift
Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Grafana or Kibana
Experience using AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Claude Code)
