Client Services Officer (Australian Accounting)

About the Role
Synct is hiring an experienced Client Services Officer (Australian Accounting) to support an Australian public practice accounting firm.

This is a full-time, work-from-home position where you'll support client service, compliance, and administrative operations. You'll work closely with Australian accountants and managers to coordinate client communications, manage ATO and ASIC administration, maintain practice management systems, and ensure work is completed accurately and on time.

Salary Range
Up to PHP 70,000 per month
Salary will be based on your Australian Public Practice experience, technical capability, and relevant software knowledge.

What You'll Do
  • Support accountants with day-to-day client service and administrative tasks.
  • Manage and maintain client records using Xero Practice Manager (XPM) and CRM systems.
  • Prepare and send engagement letters, invoices, client correspondence, and other client documents.
  • Lodge Income Tax Returns and Business Activity Statements (BAS) through the ATO Portal.
  • Process ASIC annual reviews, company changes, and other compliance lodgements.
  • Download and distribute ATO and ASIC correspondence to the appropriate team members.
  • Follow up with clients to obtain outstanding information and required documentation.
  • Monitor compliance deadlines and assist in ensuring work is completed on time.
  • Maintain accurate electronic client files and practice documentation.
  • Provide professional, timely, and confidential support to clients and the accounting team.
  • Assist with workflow coordination and other administrative tasks as required.

What We're Looking For
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of Australian Public Practice experience in a client services, practice administration, or accounting support role.
  • Hands-on experience using: Xero, Xero Practice Manager (XPM), ATO Portal, Microsoft Office
  • Strong understanding of Australian accounting practice workflows.
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willing to work AEST/AEDT business hours.

Preferred Experience
  • Experience with ASIC annual reviews and company changes.
  • Experience using CRM or document management systems such as FYI Docs.
  • Exposure to Australian bookkeeping or BAS preparation.
  • Experience supporting multiple accountants or client managers.
