Job Summary:
The Solution Architect is the technical authority for the ARES production program. This role sets and enforces architectural standards across multiple development teams, owns cross-team dependency resolution, governs the data model in partnership with the Data Architect, and ensures architectural decisions remain consistent with the OpsEA Salesforce Government Cloud Plus Defense platform constraints. This is a working technical leader who is present in sprint planning, architecture reviews, development activity, and hands-on problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Set and maintain architectural standards for the ARES Salesforce implementation across all development teams (e.g. naming conventions, metadata organization, technology decision framework, platform-native-first principles)
  • Own the cross-team dependency log; facilitate program planning to surface and sequence inter-team dependencies
  • Define and maintain the team working agreements between development teams
  • Review senior developer architecture decisions across development teams; provide guidance to resolve technical blockers
  • Own tech documentation (e.g. architecture, DevSecOps pipeline, sequence diagrams, data model, and data dictionary)
  • Govern the branch strategy for concurrent development; define merge cadence and conflict resolution protocol
  • Support the RMF/ATO workstream by providing architecture documentation to the Security Engineer

Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Eligibility to obtain a Public Trust clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of Salesforce solution architect experience, preferably in public sector/federal government space
  • Expert-level knowledge of OpsEA Salesforce platform and associated technologies (e.g. PSF, Shield, BRE, CRM Analytics, Flows, Apex, PSGs, OWD sharing model)
  • Experience with Flosum or comparable Salesforce-specific CI/CD tooling
  • Experience as a tech lead or architect across multiple concurrent agile delivery teams
  • Strong leadership, negotiation, and executive communication skills
  • Salesforce Certified Technical Architect or Application Architect

Preferred Skills & Qualifications:
  • Active U.S. Government Secret or TS/SCI security clearance.
  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Experience deploying on Salesforce Government Cloud Plus (IL-4 or IL-5)
  • Understanding of FedRAMP High authorization requirements
  • Familiarity with NIST SP 800 and the Salesforce control inheritance mode
  • Salesforce Certified Development Lifecycle and Deployment Architect
