Team Global Express is seeking an Operations Supervisor – Fleet to join our Kalgoorlie team.
This is a full-time permanent position, working Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 4:00pm with overtime available.
In this role, you'll be responsible for leading the day-to-day fleet operation, ensuring our drivers, vehicles and transport activities operate safely, efficiently and deliver exceptional service to our customers.
You'll provide leadership to our driver team, coordinate daily transport operations, manage fleet utilisation, and work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure operational targets, compliance requirements and customer expectations are consistently achieved.
This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on leader who enjoys working in a fast-paced transport environment and is passionate about safety, people leadership and operational excellence.
What You'll Do
Lead, coach and support a team of professional drivers, promoting accountability, engagement and high performance
Coordinate daily fleet operations, including driver allocations, route planning and vehicle scheduling
Monitor transport performance to ensure on-time pickups and deliveries
Ensure compliance with Chain of Responsibility (CoR), Heavy Vehicle National Law (HVNL), fatigue management and WHS requirements
Conduct daily pre-start meetings, toolbox talks and safety communications
Manage vehicle utilisation and coordinate maintenance requirements with the workshop or service providers
Respond to operational issues, customer requests and service disruptions in a timely manner
Monitor driver performance, providing coaching and performance management where required
Ensure transport documentation, compliance records and operational systems are accurately maintained
Work closely with depot operations, customer service and management teams to deliver outstanding service outcomes
Assist with workforce planning, leave management and resource allocation
Drive a positive team culture focused on safety, customer service and continuous improvement
What You'll Bring
Previous experience leading transport, fleet or logistics operations within a supervisory or team leader role
Strong knowledge of transport operations, fleet scheduling and driver management
Sound understanding of Chain of Responsibility (CoR), HVNL and workplace safety requirements
Excellent leadership, communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to make sound decisions and solve problems in a fast-paced operational environment
Strong organisational and planning skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
Experience using transport management systems and operational reporting tools
A proactive, hands-on leadership style with a commitment to continuous improvement
Current driver's licence (Heavy Vehicle licence highly regarded)
