Job description

About Intus Care:
IntusCare is the only end-to-end ecosystem built specifically to help Programs of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE) programs deliver exceptional care, strengthen financial performance, and stay compliant. IntusCare replaces outdated technology and manual workarounds with purpose-built solutions for care coordination, risk adjustment, population health, and utilization management. We empower teams to take control of their operations and improve outcomes for dual-eligible seniors- some of the most socially vulnerable and clinically complex individuals in the US healthcare system.

Role Overview:

As Director of Engineering, you will lead the engineering teams responsible for building and scaling core product capabilities that support clinical workflows, care coordination, and data-driven healthcare operations.

In this role, you will oversee multiple engineering pods and work closely with Product, Platform Engineering, and Security leaders to translate product strategy into reliable, scalable technology solutions. You will be responsible for ensuring that engineering teams deliver roadmap commitments with strong architectural integrity while operating within planned budgets and resource constraints.

This position requires a leader who can balance technical depth, operational execution, and strategic thinking. You will mentor Tech Leads, strengthen engineering processes, and help scale the organization to support the continued growth of the platform.

Your leadership will directly influence how engineering teams collaborate, how systems are designed and built, and how effectively Intus Care delivers technology that improves healthcare outcomes. This is an opportunity to shape technology that plays a meaningful role in supporting value-based care organizations and the populations they serve.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead multiple cross-functional engineering pods responsible for delivering core product capabilities and platform features.

  • Ensure predictable execution of engineering roadmaps within planned budgets, timelines, and team capacity.

  • Partner closely with Product leadership to shape the product roadmap and translate product strategy into clear engineering execution plans.

  • Provide engineering input on technical feasibility, cost estimation, and resource planning during roadmap planning and prioritization.

  • Track engineering delivery milestones and proactively identify and mitigate risks that may impact roadmap commitments.

  • Coach Tech Leads and engineering teams in building scalable, secure, and maintainable systems aligned with the broader platform architecture.

  • Ensure architectural consistency across engineering pods and facilitate effective engineering design reviews and decision-making.

  • Collaborate closely with Platform Engineering to leverage shared infrastructure, APIs, and data services.

  • Establish strong engineering practices for testing, code quality, performance, monitoring, and system reliability.

  • Partner with SRE and Security teams to strengthen observability, incident response, and compliance with HIPAA and PHI protection requirements.

  • Drive adoption of AI-assisted engineering tools and automation to improve developer productivity and engineering efficiency.

  • Recruit, mentor, and develop high-performing engineers and Tech Leads while maintaining a strong hiring bar.

  • Foster a culture of accountability, ownership, and continuous improvement across engineering teams.

  • Experience planning and delivering engineering roadmaps within defined budgets and resource constraints
