Job description

The Pitch

Slate's Brand & Media Hub helps social teams keep brand assets organised, discover the right media fast, and bring everything directly into creation workflows. This area spans brand kits, templates, media organisation, upload and processing flows, and increasingly smarter discovery experiences. We need a Full Stack Engineer to own key parts of this surface, extend it across the stack, and help make Slate the most useful source of truth for brand and media workflows in social media.

What You'll Actually Do:

Own the Brand & Media Hub experience

  • Build and evolve workflows for brand kits, templates, asset libraries, media organisation, and editor-connected asset usage

  • Improve how teams upload, organise, discover, and reuse logos, images, video, fonts, and other brand assets across Slate

  • Work closely with design and product to ship fast, learn from feedback, and keep raising quality over time

Build across the stack

  • Build the APIs and services that power brand and media workflows — asset storage, metadata, search, upload and processing pipelines, and brand configuration

  • Build the connective tissue between the Brand & Media Hub and the editor so finding and applying assets feels seamless

  • Collaborate with the editor and platform teams on shared primitives, integrations, and rollout strategy

  • Help shape richer discovery experiences for media libraries, including search, filtering, metadata, and AI-assisted workflows

Operate like an owner

  • Ship end-to-end features from prototype to rollout in an area with lots of product ambiguity

  • Make pragmatic trade-offs between ideal architecture and what users need right now

  • Write well-tested, maintainable code, contribute to architecture decisions, and mentor others through reviews and design discussions

You'd Be a Great Fit If:

You have the experience:

  • 5+ years of engineering experience, with a track record of shipping product across the stack

  • Strong TypeScript skills on both frontend and backend (Node.js)

  • Angular experience is a plus but not required

  • Experience building creative tooling, asset-heavy products, media workflows, search/discovery systems, or brand management features is a strong plus

You've done work like this before:

  • Built complex, stateful product features around assets, media, content, or other rich domain data

  • Designed APIs or backend services for uploads, processing, search, sync-heavy workflows, or editor-connected product features

  • Worked closely with designers and product managers to ship polished user experiences while scoping pragmatic V1s

  • Contributed to or maintained a shared component library or design system

You work the way we work:

  • You take ownership of features end-to-end, from design to production

  • You move well in ambiguous product spaces and use feedback to iterate quickly

  • You care about craft — both in the UI you ship and the code you write

  • You use AI tools to move faster and take responsibility for the output

Tech Stack

TypeScript, Angular, RxJS, NgRx, Node.js, CSS, Canvas API
