Principal Software Engineer - Backend

We’re looking for a Principal level Backend Engineer to help us build and polish the Post.News web/mobile applications.

  • This role is Remote within the U.S.

  • We are not able to sponsor visas at this time.

What You’ll Be Doing: 

  • Working alongside a small, scrappy, mission driven team.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify, prioritize, and implement new features and enhancements.

  • Ownership of development end to end.

  • Making an impact on an exciting new-comer to the online social space.

  • Design, develop, and maintain high-performance and scalable backend systems.

  • Drive technical innovation and identify opportunities to improve our systems and processes.

What We’re Looking For:

  • 10+ years of experience in backend development.

  • Proven experience in designing, developing, and maintaining high-performance and scalable backend systems.

  • Strong knowledge of TypeScript, Node.js, Solid.js (Solid Start SSR), Postgres, AWS Serverless Architecture, Redshift, Redis, and Dynamo.

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team..

Nice-To-Haves

  • Start-up experience.

  • Experience with social applications.

  • Enterprise Social Networking experience.
