This is a remote position.

We are partnering with an industry-leading property and casualty insurer to find a skilled Workers' Compensation Defense Attorney to join their established claims legal department. You will actively manage, investigate, and represent workers' compensation cases from inception through final conclusion, including dismissal, settlement, or trial. Collaborating directly with experienced adjusters and corporate clients, you will lead high-impact dispute resolution and defensive advocacy.

  • Caseload Management: Actively manage a robust caseload of Workers' Compensation cases from the initial notice of loss through to final resolution.

  • Client Collaboration: Partner directly with corporate clients and claims professionals to resolve cases in the most cost-effective and legally sound manner.

  • Legal Strategy: Answer claims and develop customized legal theories and affirmative defenses tailored to the specifics of each case.

  • Litigation Support: Engage in routine motion practice, discovery, and legal research to build robust defenses and advocate effectively.

  • Appearance & Representation: Handle routine depositions, hearings, conferences, and trials, representing clients with professional decorum and exceptional courtroom skills.

  • Travel: Travel to regional boards and courts as required to advocate on behalf of clients and protect the organization's interests.




Salary: $122,000-$184,000
