Job description

The MaryRuth’s Media Buyer, reporting to our Director of Paid Media in the Growth department, will join our skilled and data-driven team of media buyers and advertising specialists to manage identifying and purchasing media for Meta, TikTok, Pinterest, Snapchat, and emerging platforms. This individual will work collaboratively and cross-functionally with Growth, Marketing, Influencer, Video Content and Brand on planning advertising strategies, determining KPIs, monitoring and analyzing ad performance data, and proving ROI across channels. This is a full-time, salaried, exempt, remote position with a compensation range of $70,000 to $85,000 USD/year.

Responsibilities

  • Own and manage all media buying for Meta, TikTok, Pinterest, Snapchat, and up-and-coming additional channels.

  • Partner with the Director of Paid Media and Creative Strategist for budgeting, planning, and creative development of ads that align with ongoing campaigns and company goals.

  • Track and analyze ad data, focusing on metrics around efficiency and performance, including CaC, LTV, ROI, and conversions.

  • Build and share reporting to enable actionable insights and ongoing optimization of ad placement and targeting across channels, using tools such as NorthBeam, Prescient, Motion, and Excel.

  • Iterate and improve ad campaigns to build more effective targeting, maximize ROI, and stay up to date on best practices for each channel.

  • Oversee the execution of relevant campaigns, including setting goals and KPIs, audience planning, and media selection.

  • Work with Brand, UGC, and Video Editing teams to facilitate alignment with best practices, new trends, and MaryRuth’s brand voice in ad content.

  • Communicate with both internal team members and external tech partners to review and action, timely updates, information sharing, and both short-term and longer-term planning.

  • Ensure all content adheres to company standards as well as relevant merchant, channel, or other compliance guidelines or requirements.

  • Some travel (<5%) may be required on an as needed basis, with advance notice provided to the employee.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of media buying experience; CPG or brand experience strongly preferred.

  • Creative strategy experience and exposure required, including proficiency in analyzing and utilizing data to determine direction and objectives.

  • Experience with NorthBeam, Prescient, Motion, or similar platforms preferred; intermediate experience in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets required.

  • Demonstrated work in translating data into optimizing advertising to reach and exceed KPIs; comfortable with common KPIs and campaign metrics.

  • Experience with TikTok and/or Meta strongly preferred; experience with TikTok Shop, Pinterest, and Snapchat is a plus.

  • Strong knowledge in targeting tactics, testing, and reporting in an omnichannel environment.

  • Collaborative team player who can communicate effectively cross-functionally and with external partners, including around urgent, high-impact projects.

  • Comfortable in a fast-moving environment and capable of managing competing priorities.

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally or a negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body.

  • This role involves sitting most of the time but may also involve moving for brief periods of time.
