Job description

At Core-VA Solutions, we're looking for a Grants Writer & Contracts Specialist to support a growing Texas-based healthcare organization. In this role, you'll help secure grants and government contracts that support healthcare programs and expand access to quality care. 

This is a flexible part-time, project-based opportunity (approx. 10-25 hours/week) with strong potential to grow into a long-term, full-time Independent Contractor role as our proposal pipeline continues to expand. Work hours is US Central Time business hours.

Who This Opportunity May Be Perfect For 

We'd love to connect with professionals who have experience in: 

  • Grant or proposal writing 
  • Government contracts or procurement 
  • Healthcare administration or public health 
  • Nonprofit development or fundraising 
  • Technical writing, legal support, or contract administration 

 

Healthcare experience is preferred but not required. If you have strong writing skills, enjoy working with detailed documents, and are excited to learn about the healthcare industry, we'd encourage you to apply. 

 

What You'll Do 

  • Research federal, state, local, and other funding opportunities. 
  • Write and submit proposals, grants, and contract responses. 
  • Ensure submissions are accurate, compliant, and on time. 
  • Coordinate with internal teams to gather required information and supporting documents. 
  • Track proposal deadlines, submissions, and awarded contracts. 
  • Build and maintain proposal templates and documentation. 

Requirements

What We're Looking For 

  • At least 2 years of experience in grant writing, proposal writing, government contracts, or related field. 
  • Strong writing, editing, research, and proofreading skills. 
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines. 
  • Comfortable working independently and collaborating with a remote team. 

 

Nice to Have 

  • Experience in healthcare, public health, nonprofit, or government-funded programs. 
  • Experience using platforms such as Grants.gov, SAM.gov, GovTribe, Asana, or similar proposal management tools.
