Job Description:

General Function / Summary:   

The Senior Analytics Analyst is accountable for complex analysis and recommendations within the Credit Risk organization and will work cross functionally to assist in the development and deployment of new products and strategies.  

 

Essential Duties:  

  • Gather and analyze company data to provide insights surrounding portfolio performance at consumer, store, and channel levels proactively. 
  • Proficient in multiple programming language/software tools and serves as an advanced resource across analytical teams on accurate use of data and coding advice. 
  • Monitor and evaluate key performance metrics across portfolios and make recommendation where needed. 
  • Design appropriate analytical approach to address complex business problems. 
  • Communicate recommendations and results to key stakeholders.   
  • Collaborate cross functionally to develop and implement processes that optimize product offers based on business needs and with awareness of compliance requirements. 
  • Provide insights in risk management in the loan/lease servicing space and mentor team members to increase subject matter expertise when the need arises. 
  • Perform various ad-hoc analyses relating to credit risk management initiatives. 
  • Propose and present recommendations to senior management and credit committees. 

 

Minimum Education and Experience Required: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field (statistics, math, computer sciences, engineering, economics), Master’s degree preferred 
  • 4+ years of experience in Financial/Credit analysis 
  • 2+ years of experience with the following tools: 
  • SQL/Snowflake 
  • Excel/Tableau/PowerPoint 
  • SAS/Python/R 
  • Experience with predictive model development, monitoring, or validation 
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to rapidly transition between critical projects 
  • Detail oriented individual with emphasis on documentation and process reproducibility 
  • High proficiency with Microsoft Office programs
