Job Summary

We are seeking a Workday Data SME to own end-to-end Workday data load activities, including hands-on production EIB execution, ODS and Workday template preparation, data validation, governance, and post-load support. The role will ensure data changes are accurate, secure, controlled, and delivered through agreed release and governance processes.

Key Responsibilities

* Own and complete end-to-end Workday data load processes including EIB preparation, validation, production execution, post-load checks, and issue resolution.
* Prepare, maintain, and govern ODS and Workday data input templates to ensure accuracy, consistency, and readiness for approved data loads.
* Review data load requests for completeness, approvals, payroll impact, deployment readiness, and downstream dependencies.
* Perform data validation and quality checks to identify missing fields, incorrect values, duplicates, anomalies, and impact risks.
* Partner with ODS, functional teams, Payroll, Integrations, Security, Reporting, and Operations to clarify requirements and resolve data issues.
* Support mass data changes with proper governance, approval evidence, validation sign-off, production execution, and post-load reconciliation.
* Ensure secure handling of sensitive Workday data files, validation outputs, execution evidence, and supporting documents.
* Fix EIB/data load failures, investigate root causes, and implement or coordinate remediation.
* Maintain process documentation, template mentorship, validation rules, execution steps, and support handover materials.
* Support Workday release, change, and configuration governance for data-related updates.

Required Qualifications and Experience

* 3–5 years of meaningful experience in Workday data loads, EIB execution, HR data management, Workday functional support, or enterprise HR systems delivery.
* Strong hands-on experience with Workday EIBs, including template preparation, validation, production execution, solve, and post-load support.
* Good understanding of Workday worker, position, supervisory organisation, interpersonal assignment, and related master data concepts.
* Experience handling ODS or equivalent data input templates, data collection sheets, mass changes, and controlled production data loads.
* Solid understanding of data quality controls, reconciliation, validation, error handling, reprocessing, and remediation.
* Understanding of Workday security, data privacy, access controls, and secure handling of confidential HR data.
* Ability to assess downstream impacts on Payroll, integrations, reporting, access management, and consuming systems.
* Strong analytical, documentation, communication, and customer management skills.

Preferred Skills

* Experience supporting Workday production data loads for transformation programmes, organisational changes, or BAU or equivalent experience mass changes.
* Exposure to Workday reporting, integrations, security, Prism, or data lake consumption models.
* Understanding of payroll cut-off cycles, deployment approvals, validation sign-off, and production execution windows.
