Job Description

Project – the aim you’ll have

Our team works with a British insurance company on cybersecurity. We develop customer care applications which serve as the communication channel between the insurance company and its customers. The main app’s functional features are checking if the customer has secure enough infrastructure to have the agreement with that company. End user is notified about incidents and risks, which are connected to the company he/she is employed it. There is a guidance from a set of FAQs and a virtual assistant. The app has an additional tools released along with it to configure the colour, schemes, fonts and content.

The current project is expected to continue until February 28, 2027. Following its completion, we will explore opportunities to transition you to another project, depending on business needs and project availability.

Position – how you’ll contribute

As a Senior Automation Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for driving the quality strategy across Web, Backend, and Mobile applications within our cybersecurity platform. You will own and continuously evolve the test automation framework, ensuring reliable and scalable automated testing integrated into the delivery pipeline. Working closely with developers, product owners, analysts, and architects, you will champion quality throughout the software development lifecycle while balancing automation, exploratory testing, and continuous improvement initiatives.
In this role, you will:

  • Own, maintain, and continuously improve the Playwright-based test automation framework for Web and Backend applications.
  • Design, develop, and execute automated test suites covering functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end scenarios.
  • Contribute to the quality of Mobile applications by performing manual validation, exploratory testing, and supporting automation initiatives where applicable.
  • Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to ensure fast and reliable feedback throughout the delivery process.
  • Collaborate closely with developers, Product Owners, System Analysts, and architects to define quality requirements and ensure testability of new features.
  • Participate in code reviews, manage test automation changes through Git and Pull Requests, and promote engineering best practices.
  • Identify quality risks, analyze defects, and proactively propose improvements to testing processes, automation coverage, and overall product quality.
  • Balance priorities across multiple concurrent initiatives while maintaining high standards of quality and delivery.
  • Leverage AI-powered development tools to improve productivity, accelerate test creation, and optimize quality engineering workflows.
  • Act as a quality advocate within the team by promoting automation-first principles, continuous improvement, and a strong ownership mindset.

Qualifications

 

Expectations – the experience you need

  • Proven experience in automating both Backend (BE) and Frontend (FE) testing.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Playwright, including ownership of the test automation framework.
  • Practical experience with CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience testing mobile applications, with a willingness to perform manual validation and exploratory testing.
  • Strong knowledge of Git, including working with Pull Requests, conducting code reviews.
  • Ability to effectively manage and prioritize work across multiple initiatives simultaneously (e.g., CMI, CIR, and Mobile domains).
  • Daily practical use of AI-powered development tools.
  • Good command of English, both written and spoken, enabling effective communication within an international environment.

Additional skills – the edge you have

  • Experience with Flutter test automation.
  • Familiarity with quality engineering practices across multiple platforms, including Web, Backend, and Mobile applications.
