Job description

Team Carney is seeking qualified professionals for a contingent opportunity supporting the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA)'s training and education sector.  This program supports FEMA’s mission by ensuring the quality and effectiveness of all-hazards curricula, training delivery, and grant application reviews for first responders and emergency managers across the nation. Successful candidates will be part of a dedicated team providing logistical, managerial, administrative, and consultative services to enhance national preparedness. 

Who You Are
 As a Project Manager, you will be the central point of contact for all contract work, ensuring the successful delivery of services to our client. You will lead a team of dedicated professionals, managing all aspects of project performance from business operations to emergency management and response. You are a senior-level leader who can inspire a team and act as the ultimate authority for the contractor on all matters related to this work.
  • Location: Remote (within driving distance of Washington DC as needed)

  • Status: Full-Time / Contingent Upon Contract Award 
What You'll Do
  • Serve as the primary liaison between Team Carney and the government Contracting Officer and Representative. 

  • Oversee all contractor work performed under the Statement of Work, ensuring quality and timeliness. 

  • Manage project schedules, resources, and deliverables to meet government requirements. 

  • Provide leadership, supervision, and guidance to a team of consultants, analysts, and subject matter experts. 

  • Respond to and resolve technical issues and client requests promptly, ensuring clear and effective communication. 

  • Leverage your expert knowledge of emergency management and response operations to guide project strategy and execution. 
What You Bring (Qualifications)
  • A Master’s degree. 

  • A minimum of 8 years of work experience in project management, business operations, and government operations. 

  • Proven supervisory or team lead experience. 

  • Expert knowledge of emergency management and response operations. 

  • Exceptional communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
