Functional Test Lead

Location: Washington, DC (Remote)

Duration: 4+ months

Seeking for an experienced Functional Test Lead with strong experience leading functional testing efforts for enterprise applications, with expertise in manual and automated testing methodologies, test planning, and quality assurance processes.
 

Required Experience:

  • 5-10 years' experience in technology or software development preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in manual and automated testing.
  • Deep knowledge of software development cycle and testing methodologies.
  • Proficient in running manual tests and incorporating automated testing processes.
  • Payroll domain knowledge, including understanding of payroll cycles, tax calculations, deductions, and benefits.
  • Experience using AI-driven tools for generating test scripts.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Effective time management to meet deadlines and payroll cycles.

Preferred Skills:

  • DevSecOps
  • Agile Scrum
  • VersionOne or equivalent Agile project management software
  • Knowledge of SDLC practices
  • Experience with payroll systems and processing
  • AI/ML tools for code analysis and pattern recognition
  • Mainframe knowledge a plus

Expected Deliverables:

  • Ensure Payroll application products and services meet organizational standards and end-user requirements.
  • Design testing procedures and develop testing scripts and plans.
  • Prepare complex data sets to test logic, error handling, and system workflows.
  • Conduct testing of complex features and verify fixes.
  • Monitor and document testing procedures and results in compliance with US Government Client Technology Solution Life Cycle (TSLC) standards.

Education:

  • A degree from an accredited College/University in technology, software development, and/or accounting/business is preferred.
