UX / Section 508 / QA Test Specialist

The UX / Section 508 / QA Test Specialist supports usability, accessibility, quality assurance, testing, and acceptance readiness for the reporting portal, dashboards, documents, training materials, and other ICT deliverables. This role conducts automated and manual testing, keyboard navigation and screen reader testing as appropriate, supports UAT and usability validation, documents findings, and tracks remediation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, execute, and document QA, usability, accessibility, and Section 508/WCAG testing for web applications, dashboards, documents, and user materials.
• Conduct manual and automated accessibility testing, including keyboard navigation and screen reader testing as appropriate.
• Support Government-led UAT, usability validation, defect tracking, remediation verification, and production readiness.
• Prepare accessibility documentation such as HHS Section 508 checklists, VPAT/ACR support materials, test findings, and remediation evidence.
• Coordinate with developers, analysts, trainers, security personnel, and Government stakeholders to resolve defects and accessibility deficiencies.

• Experience testing web applications, portals, dashboards, documents, and training materials for usability, quality, and accessibility.
• Knowledge of Section 508, Revised 508 Standards, WCAG 2.0/2.1 Level A/AA, accessibility checklists, and VPAT/ACR documentation.
• Experience with automated accessibility tools, manual testing, keyboard testing, screen reader testing, defect tracking, and remediation verification.
• Experience supporting UAT, usability testing, production readiness, quality assurance, and acceptance testing for secure web systems.
• Ability to translate accessibility and QA findings into actionable remediation guidance for technical and non-technical teams.
