The IT Procurement Analyst reporting to the head of IT Procurement plays a key role in managing technology investments for the business. The role is responsible for procuring IT software, and technology services while ensuring cost optimization, vendor compliance, and timely delivery. The role partners with IT, Finance, and business stakeholders to support procurement operations and vendor management activities.
Responsibilities:
Procurement & Vendor Management
• Manage procurement of IT software, subscriptions, and services
• Obtain quotations, compare pricing, and negotiate with vendors
• Process purchase orders in NetSuite, renewals, and procurement requests in Jira
• Maintain vendor relationships and monitor service performance (where applicable)
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and procurement efficiencies and track savings
Contract & Financial Administration
• Review vendor contracts, licensing agreements, and renewal terms
• Track contract renewals and process them in timely manner
• Validate invoices and ensure procurement accuracy (where applicable)
• Prepare spend analysis, cost comparisons, cost allocations, chargebacks, and
procurement reports using advanced excel and Power BI
Reporting & Process Improvement
• Maintain procurement records and documentation
• Support process improvements and workflow automation initiatives
• Ensure compliance with procurement policies and procedures
• Consider automation opportunities to support increased velocity with high quality
Stakeholder & Project Support
• Collaborate with internal teams to understand procurement requirements
• Support technology procurement projects and initiatives
• Coordinate with vendors to ensure on-time delivery and issue resolution
• Provide procurement updates and recommendations to stakeholders
Qualifications
• MBA / Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration,
Bachelor’s in Commerce, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
• Procurement, or Supply Chain certifications are a plus
Experience
• 2–5 years of experience in IT Procurement, Vendor Management, or Purchasing
• Experience managing software subscriptions, renewals, and vendor contracts
• Knowledge of IT procurement processes, purchasing systems, and contract
administration
• Experience with procurement systems such as Jira and Confluence, NetSuite, or IT
service management tools
Skills
• Strong communication and listening skills supporting vendor negotiation and
relationship management
• Good understanding of software licensing and procurement practices
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills for reporting and analysis
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
