Job Title: Business Analyst – Hardware Asset Management (HAM) (Remote)
Location: Mexico or Costa Rica (Must be available to work Pacific Standard Time hours)
Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Business Analyst – Hardware Asset Management (HAM) to support hardware asset management operations by maintaining accurate asset records, analyzing data, and delivering actionable reports. The ideal candidate has strong analytical skills, excels in spreadsheet management, and is experienced with ServiceNow or similar IT service management platforms. This role requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure asset data integrity throughout the hardware lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and manage hardware asset data across all lifecycle stages, including procurement, deployment, maintenance, and retirement.
  • Track and reconcile hardware inventory to ensure data accuracy and consistency.
  • Analyze large datasets using Microsoft Excel to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for process improvement.
  • Create and maintain reports on asset inventory, utilization, lifecycle status, and service requests.
  • Update and manage asset records, requests, and workflows within ServiceNow or a comparable ITSM platform.
  • Monitor asset requests and provide timely status updates to stakeholders.
  • Ensure the completeness and accuracy of asset information across multiple systems.
  • Collaborate with IT, procurement, and operations teams to validate hardware asset records.
  • Support the creation of dashboards, reports, and performance metrics for management and stakeholders.
  • Assist in improving asset management processes and maintaining compliance with organizational standards.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, data cleanup, filtering, and reporting.
  • Basic understanding of Hardware Asset Management (HAM) or IT Asset Management (ITAM) principles.
  • Experience working with ServiceNow or similar ticketing/IT service management platforms.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage, organize, and interpret large datasets.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting Hardware Asset Management or IT Asset Management operations.
  • Familiarity with asset lifecycle management and inventory tracking systems.
  • Experience with reporting tools and dashboard creation (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, or similar).
  • Knowledge of ITIL processes and best practices is an advantage.
