Job Description:
The Transformation Office drives operational efficiency and strategic change across Datasite through four pillars: the FDE Program, AI Enablement, Non-AI Transformation, and Operations / Executive Support.
The Principal Business Operations Analyst is the connective, do-everything engine of the Transformation Office — a senior right hand to both the Director of Transformation Programs and the VP of Transformation, operating across all four pillars. This is a high-velocity, multi-hat role for an experienced operator who wants to get a large volume of work done well and is energized by variety rather than a fixed lane. One day may be process automation and supporting the FDE with high level requirements or a charter; the next may be ad hoc AI analysis against a large data set; the next could be a first-pass deck, a draft executive communication, or running point on an operational deliverable that needs to move.
Think of it as the operational leverage that lets Transformation Office leadership scale. You won’t own a single workstream end to end — you’ll plug into whatever the office needs most that week, convert a concept to a strong first draft or finished output, and free up leadership to focus on strategy and stakeholders. You operate as a senior, chief-of-staff-style partner. The reporting line is to the Director of Transformation Programs, with a standing expectation of direct support to the VP of Transformation for departmental needs.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
This role flexes across all four pillars of the Transformation Office. Representative work includes:
FDE Program support: Support the Forward Deployed Engineering program as needed — opportunity intake, requirements capture, coordination across paired FDE / platform teams, and tracking planned value to actual value. Partner with FDE leadership to understand priorities and focus your time to the most critical tasks.
Operational leverage & first-pass execution (Operations pillar): Take ambiguous, high-priority asks from Transformation Office leadership and turn them into strong first drafts and finished deliverables — decks, executive communications, briefing docs, trackers, status updates, and analysis. You run point on the first 80% so leadership can refine the last 20%.
Data analysis (Operations & AI pillars): Lead end-to-end analysis across financial, operational and AI usage domains, with a focus on ROI, cost optimization and consumption economics (e.g., token usage, API spend). Build models, translate data into actionable insights, and identify opportunities to improve spend and validate business value. Partner with stakeholders to define metrics, track realized vs. expected outcomes, and drive disciplined measurement of impact at scale.
AI Enablement & ad hoc analysis: Jump into AI Enablement support and miscellaneous AI requests, especially those requiring large data pulls and analysis. Pull, structure, and analyze data to answer questions quickly and credibly.
Portfolio & intake support (Operations pillar): Help maintain the transformation portfolio and intake funnel — tracking initiatives, keeping documentation current, and ensuring work routes correctly through the Transformation Office.
Process automation & efficiency: Identify and build out automations for recurring Transformation Office and cross-functional workflows — reporting, intake, tracking, and reusable templates — reducing manual effort across the office.
Cross-pillar gap-filling: Plug into any pillar wherever capacity is needed. The defining trait of this role is range, not specialization.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
6–9 years in business operations, chief-of-staff-adjacent roles, management consulting, program leadership, or business analysis — ideally in SaaS, technology, or a PE-backed environment.
A genuine generalist who thrives wearing multiple hats; takes pride in volume and quality of throughput rather than guarding a single scope.
Strong execution instincts — turns ambiguous asks into clear, polished first drafts (decks, communications, analysis) with minimal direction.
Comfort with data: able to pull, structure, and analyze large data sets independently to answer operational and AI-related questions. SQL or equivalent querying capability is a strong plus.
AI fluency — understands what AI and automation can or can’t do and can apply AI tools to accelerate both their own work and the office’s.
Process-automation aptitude — spots repetitive work and builds reusable solutions.
Exceptional written and verbal communication; your drafts go in front of senior leaders.
Highly organized, fast-moving, and comfortable shifting priorities daily.
Low ego, high ownership — willing to do both high-visibility and behind-the-scenes work to make leadership successful.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
A high-output generalist who wants to be in the middle of everything. You’re the person who says “I’ll take it” and comes back with something usable. You can build an automation in the morning, run a data pull for an AI question midday, and draft an executive deck by end of day — and you’d rather flex across all of it than be boxed into one lane. You operate as a senior, chief-of-staff-style partner: trusted, discreet, and able to plug into any pillar of the Transformation Office and move it forward independently.
