About Fundraise Up

We’re Fundraise Up - a global fundraising platform built to make donating to nonprofits fast, seamless, and accessible to all. We focus on innovation that directly impacts results: faster load times, higher conversion rates, global payment support, and accessibility-first design.

Our platform is trusted by many of the world’s leading nonprofits, including UNICEF, the Alzheimer’s Association, and a wide range of global NGOs. With a 4.9/5 rating across top software review platforms, we’re recognized not just for our impact - but for the quality of the product we deliver.

A Truly Global Product

We operate in the enterprise segment, serving nonprofit organizations across North America, the United Kingdom, Australia, and Europe.

We’re building a large and complex product ecosystem that serves nonprofits, donors, and partners around the world. The platform includes a modern checkout experience and customizable widgets (each a standalone SPA), donor, organization, and partner portals, admin tools, and several internal apps.

The Team

We are a distributed team of 160+ product professionals. Our team members are mainly based across Spain, Poland, Portugal, Georgia, Armenia, Serbia, Turkey, and Cyprus.

Despite our scale, we operate like a focused team - where every task matters and every voice is heard. We value thoughtful collaboration, strong engineering practices, and a product mindset. You’ll be joining a team where quality, mentorship, and mutual respect come first.

About the Role

We are looking for a Product Manager, Billing own and evolve Fundraise Up’s Billing domain end-to-end: transaction-based fee handling, fee coverage, payouts, refunds and the financial flows behind donations. We charge organizations a percentage fee per transaction (netted from payouts), which donors can optionally cover.

Core Mission & Priorities

  • Reliability first: keep donation money flow stable, correct, and predictable (uptime + accuracy).
  • Invisible billing for orgs: minimize billing friction so organizations rarely have to think about payments engine.
  • Growth enabler: unlock expansion via payment method coverage, localized compliance needs, retries engine and new verticals readiness.

What You’ll Do

  • Own the Billing product area roadmap, outcomes, and prioritization; define quarterly goals and success metrics.
  • Partner with Engineering to deliver resilient billing systems (accuracy, idempotency, retries, monitoring, incident response, and clear ownership boundaries).
  • Improve revenue protection and customer experience via dunning, failed payment recovery, refunds, and dispute/chargeback-related flows (as applicable).
  • Define and maintain billing domain documentation: data model, event flows, edge cases, and operational run-books.
  • Run discovery with internal teams (GTM & Product Analyst) and customers to uncover pain points and opportunities; turn insights into clear PRDs and delivery plans.
  • Establish and track core Billing KPIs (e.g., failed payment rate, recovery rate).
  • Drive antifraud strategy execution: define priorities and success metrics; partner with Eng/Data to ship realtime protections, monitoring/alerting, and fraud-response capabilities, and continuously improve rules based on observed patterns.

Requirements

  • 4–7 years of product management experience with at least 1–2 years owning a technically complex domain.
  • Strong understanding of payment processing, payouts, fee models, refunds/chargebacks, multi-processor setups, and reconciliation.
  • Proven ability to work with engineers on backend/system design trade-offs and to ship reliable platform capabilities.
  • Comfort with data: defining metrics, building a measurement plan, and using analysis to prioritize and evaluate impact.
  • Clear written communication and structured thinking; can turn ambiguity into executable plans.
  • High ownership, high discipline, and strong cross-functional collaboration.

Nice To Have

  • Experience with payment processors (Stripe Payments, PayPal, etc.) and/or financial systems integrations.
  • Experience in B2B SaaS pricing & packaging or self-serve account management.
  • Familiarity with audit/compliance requirements impacting billing (SOX readiness, SOC2 implications, etc.).
  • Experience reducing billing-related support contacts through product + tooling.

Why work with us

  • A strong, collaborative product team that owns what it builds
  • Clear product vision and access to real customer feedback from global nonprofit leaders
  • Flat structure: no politics, just great work with great people
  • Transparent company culture-we share how we’re growing, where revenue comes from, and what’s next
