Job description

We are seeking a highly skilled Network & Security Engineer with 6+ years of hands-on experience designing, implementing, operating, and securing enterprise network infrastructures. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in routing and switching, SD-WAN, and SASE/SSE architectures, along with proven experience supporting large-scale, multi-vendor environments.

This role requires deep technical proficiency across Cisco, Fortinet, Palo Alto Networks, Aruba Central, Arista, and Netskope (SSE & SD-WAN) platforms. The engineer will be responsible for ensuring network reliability, performance optimization, and a strong security posture across on-prem, cloud, and hybrid environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, deploy, and manage enterprise network and security solutions across on-premises, hybrid, and cloud environments.

  • Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot multi-vendor platforms including:

    • Cisco (IOS, IOS-XE, NX-OS, Meraki, FTD)

    • Fortinet (FortiGate, FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer)

    • Palo Alto Networks (NGFWs, Panorama, Prisma Access)

    • Aruba Central (Switching, Wireless, Cloud Management)

    • Arista SD-WAN (formerly VMware)

    • Netskope SSE and Netskope SD-WAN

  • Design, implement, and optimize SD-WAN solutions (Fortinet, Arista, Netskope) to improve application performance, WAN resiliency, and operational efficiency.

  • Architect and integrate SASE/SSE frameworks, aligning SD-WAN with cloud-delivered security services such as:

    • Secure Web Gateway (SWG)

    • Cloud Access Security Broker (CASB)

    • Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA)

    • Firewall-as-a-Service (FWaaS)

  • Deploy and manage Netskope SSE for secure remote access, cloud security enforcement, and zero-trust access models.

  • Maintain and optimize routing and switching infrastructure using BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, and related protocols across LAN/WAN environments.

  • Develop, implement, and enforce network security policies, firewall rules, VPNs, access control, and threat prevention mechanisms.

  • Monitor network and security performance using tools such as SolarWinds, Zabbix, FortiAnalyzer, Netskope analytics, or equivalent platforms.

  • Collaborate with infrastructure, cloud, and security teams to ensure compliance, resiliency, and operational excellence.

  • Create and maintain network documentation, including diagrams, configurations, standards, and SOPs.

  • Stay current with emerging networking technologies, cloud security trends, and evolving threat landscapes.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 6+ years of experience in enterprise network and security engineering.

  • Strong expertise in routing and switching technologies (Cisco IOS/IOS-XE/NX-OS).

  • In-depth understanding of SD-WAN, SASE, and SSE architectures, including design and deployment models.

  • Hands-on experience with:

    • Cisco (Switches, Routers, Meraki, Firepower/FTD)

    • Fortinet (FortiGate, FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer)

    • Palo Alto Networks (NGFWs, Panorama, Prisma Access)

    • Aruba Central (Switching, Wi-Fi, Cloud Operations)

    • Arista SD-WAN

    • Netskope SSE and Netskope SD-WAN

  • Strong knowledge of network security frameworks, VPN technologies, firewall policy design, and Zero Trust principles.

  • Solid understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, NAT, QoS, and WAN optimization.

  • Experience with network monitoring, logging, and security analytics tools.

  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in fast-paced enterprise environments.

Preferred Certifications (One or More)

  • Cisco: CCNP Enterprise / CCNP Security / CCIE (preferred)

  • Fortinet: NSE 4–7

  • Palo Alto Networks: PCNSE

  • Netskope Certifications (SSE / SD-WAN – preferred)

  • Security+ / CISSP

  • SD-WAN or SASE vendor-specific certifications
