Job description

Our Client, an IT Services and Consultant company, is looking for an Atlassian Administrator (Jira & Confluence) for their Remote location.
 
Responsibilities:

  • Administer, configure, and maintain Jira (Software, Service Management) and Confluence (Cloud or Data Center) environments.
  • Create and manage projects, spaces, boards, workflows, permission schemes, notification schemes, and issue type configurations in Jira.
  • Design and maintain Confluence spaces, page templates, macros, permissions, and space hierarchies to support knowledge management.
  • Manage user provisioning, roles, groups, and access controls across both platforms in alignment with security policies.
  • Integrate Jira and Confluence with each other and with third-party tools (e.g. Slack, GitHub, CI/CD pipelines, SSO/SAML providers).
  • Develop and maintain custom workflows, automation rules, dashboards, filters, and reports in Jira.
  • Monitor platform health, performance, and usage; carry out upgrades, patching, and capacity planning.
  • Lead migrations, including Cloud migrations (Server β†’ Cloud / DC β†’ Cloud) and data imports/exports.
  • Provide Tier-2/Tier-3 support to end users; triage and resolve platform issues promptly.
  • Define and enforce governance standards β€” naming conventions, project/space templates, archiving policies, and change management procedures.
  • Partner with project managers, engineering leads, and product owners to translate team needs into effective tool configurations.
  • Evaluate and manage Atlassian Marketplace apps/plugins; handle licensing renewals and vendor coordination.
  • Create and maintain administrator runbooks, user guides, and training materials for both platforms.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational data security, audit, and access review requirements.
 
Requirements:
  • 7+ years of hands-on Jira administration experience (Cloud and/or Data Center).
  • 4+ years of hands-on Confluence administration experience.
  • Strong expertise in Jira workflows, screens, permission schemes, automation (Jira Automation / ScriptRunner).
  • Proficiency in Confluence space administration, templates, and macros.
