Description

This is not a traditional full-time role. We are looking for someone who can join selected client-facing meetings, work directly with Xenon7’s CEO and leadership team, and provide practical domain input on oil and gas operations.

The goal is to help Xenon7 better understand client pain points and identify where AI, automation, or agentic AI workflows could add value across areas such as operational data, predictive maintenance, field operations, HSE reporting, asset performance, production intelligence, or related workflows.

Responsibilities

  • Join occasional client-facing meetings with Xenon7’s CEO and potential oil and gas clients.
  • Provide subject-matter expertise on oil and gas operations, digital transformation, and AI use cases.
  • Help identify where AI agents, automation, or analytics could add value across upstream, downstream, HSE, maintenance, production, or capital project workflows.
  • Support discovery conversations by asking relevant industry-specific questions and helping qualify client needs.
  • Advise Xenon7 internally on industry context, client pain points, and solution positioning.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in the oil and gas industry, ideally from an operator, EPC, oilfield services company, or major consulting firm.
  • Strong background in upstream, downstream, or industrial operations.
  • Experience with at least two of the following areas: Predictive maintenance, HSE compliance reporting, Capital project data management, Field operations optimization or Production intelligence
  • Familiarity with oil and gas data environments, such as OSIsoft PI, SCADA systems, AVEVA, SAP PM, Maximo, or similar platforms.
  • Working knowledge of AI, automation, machine learning, or AI agents applied to asset management, inspection workflows or operational analytics
  • Strong customer-facing communication skills and confidence speaking with senior client stakeholders.
  • Comfortable working in a flexible, occasional advisory capacity.
  • Advanced English level.

Nice to Have

  • PhD or Master’s degree in Petroleum Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Operations, Environmental Science, Data Science, or a related field.
  • Background in digital transformation programs at companies such as Shell, BP, ExxonMobil, Chevron, TotalEnergies, Saudi Aramco, SLB, Baker Hughes, Halliburton, Wood, Worley, Accenture, Deloitte, McKinsey, or similar.

Benefits

  • Flexible, occasional part-time engagement, estimated around 4 hours per week as needed.
  • High-impact advisory role focused on real oil and gas digital transformation opportunities.
  • Remote collaboration.
  • Opportunity to work at the intersection of oil and gas, AI agents, automation, and industrial innovation.
