Job Requirements:

• Minimum of 2.5 years of experience in drafting or CAD design within construction, engineering, or architectural industries.
• Preferable: experience with Australian Building codes, or a willingness to research and learn those in Western Australia. 
• Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Revit, Inventor, or CATIA. 
• Strong understanding of drafting principles, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T), and technical drawing standards. 
• Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and building codes/regulations relevant to architectural, civil, or mechanical drafting. 
• Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders. 
• Strong attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and the capability to manage multiple projects in a deadline-driven environment.

Core responsibilities:

• Utilize CAD software to create detailed 2D and 3D technical drawings, schematics, and plans based on project specifications and requirements. 
• Collaborate with engineers, architects, and project managers to develop and refine design concepts and layouts. 
• Prepare and modify drawings, layouts, and blueprints while ensuring accuracy, compliance, and adherence to technical standards. 
• Design and draft components, parts, and assemblies for mechanical, electrical, or architectural systems, ensuring functionality and manufacturability. 
• Conduct quality checks to ensure drawings meet industry standards, codes, and project specifications. 
• Maintain organized documentation of drawings, revisions, and related project records, ensuring proper version control. 
• Coordinate with project stakeholders and communicate effectively to clarify requirements and resolve design-related issues.
