We are seeking a Temporary Cyber Engineering Senior Associate to support security engineering and operational initiatives across client and internal environments. This role will focus on implementing and enhancing security solutions, automating processes, and supporting incident response and vulnerability management activities in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and maintain security tools, integrations, and automation scripts to enhance cyber defense capabilities
  • Support vulnerability management, incident response, and security monitoring activities, including investigation and remediation efforts
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and deploy secure architectures across cloud and on-prem environments
  • Analyze security findings, recommend remediation strategies, and communicate risks to technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying process gaps and implementing scalable engineering solutions

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity engineering, security operations, or related technical roles
  • Hands-on experience with scripting/automation (e.g., Python, PowerShell) and security tools (SIEM, SOAR, vulnerability scanners)
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and modern infrastructure technologies (e.g., containers, APIs)
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

At RSM, an employee’s pay at any point in their career is intended to reflect their experiences, performance, and skills for their current role. The salary range (or starting rate for interns and associates) for this role represents numerous factors considered in the hiring decisions including, but not limited to, education, skills, work experience, certifications, location, etc. As such, pay for the successful candidate(s) could fall anywhere within the stated range.

Compensation Range: $28 - $42 per hour
