Job description

Job Summary:

We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Conflicts Management Analyst to join our compliance operations team supporting global legal engagements. This role plays a critical part in ensuring conflict-of-interest risks are identified and assessed before new matters are accepted. Working closely with global stakeholders, you will support the evaluation of new clients, matters, and parties to help ensure compliance with professional standards and firm policies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough research and analysis of clients, related parties, and matters to identify potential legal or business conflicts of interest.
  • Prepare clear, concise conflict reports to aid decision-making by lawyers and risk managers.
  • Interpret and apply relevant policies, procedures, and professional responsibility rules related to client intake and engagement.
  • Liaise with international teams to ensure timely resolution of potential conflict issues.
  • Maintain accurate and comprehensive records of conflict checks and outcomes in the firms systems.
  • Provide input on improving processes, workflows, and documentation for better risk mitigation.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Political Science, Business Administration, Economics, or any related course. Candidates with credits in law school or a legal academic background are highly preferred.
  • Fresh graduates are welcome to apply, provided they meet the educational requirements and demonstrate strong analytical and communication skills.
  • Prior experience in legal research, conflict checks, or due diligence roles in a law firm, corporate legal team, or professional services firm is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with legal concepts, client engagement processes, and regulatory standards is desirable.
  • Experience using legal tools like Intapp Open, or other conflicts/confidentiality management systems, is a plus.
  • Global exposure or working with cross-border teams is highly regarded.
