The Role

We are looking for a talented Python Data Engineer to join our partners team in the Netherlands working with top tier clients across the EU region. As aPython Data Engineer, you will be responsible for data products to be used in Self-Service Analytics and Reporting (PowerBI) based on the Oracle Database and WhereScape 9 or 10 and you will also be helping the team transition to Azure Cloud.

Non-EU candidates who meet the qualifications are invited to apply and would receive visa and work permit sponsorship to relocate to the Netherlands.

What you will be doing in the role

  • Delivering data products to be used in Self-Service Analytics and Reporting (PowerBI) based on the Oracle Database and WhereScape 9 or 10.

  • Helping the team transition to Azure Cloud.

  • Working as part of a product team (scrum team) delivering data products.

  • Gathering and clarifying requirements from the business in collaboration with the Product Owner.

  • Making functional and technical designs in collaboration with Solution Architects and your colleagues.

  • Building ingestions, cleaning, parsing, modeling, dashboarding applications.

  • Expose and analyze data.

  • Converting raw data from various sources into applicable solutions.

  • Writing and maintaining program and system documentation.

  • Manage and monitor data products on a day-to-day basis.

Ideally you have

  • At least 5 years of work experience as a Python Developer.

  • Knowledge and experience in setting up in a cloud environment (Azure) at least 3 years of experience.

  • Knowledge and experience with modern data warehousing and Kimball (conform dimensions and facts).

  • Knowledge and experience with (relational) databases (Oracle, PostgreSQL), WhereScape 9 or 10, Python, Git (Data Pipelines), Scrum.

  • Experience with transitioning to Azure Cloud (Microsoft BI solutions), requirement gathering and analysis, data visualization techniques (PowerBI), Kafka, object storage, security in Data ETL, and DevOps.
