CEL’s landmark Shivgarh trial (Lancet, 2008) on newborn survival, which led to a 54% reduction in newborn deaths, has informed national and global programs and policies including World Health Organization recommendations on home visitations by community health workers. CEL is supported by the WHO, Grand Challenges Canada and has active collaborations with several leading academic institutions, including Johns Hopkins University, Stanford University, and Harvard University.

In Uttar Pradesh, we support UPNational Health Mission as a newborn survival specialist through UP TSU (UttarPradesh Technical Support Unit).

Who are welooking for?

CEL is looking for Remote Guide Associates as part of our Central CoordinationCenter team who can work remotely (Telephonically)  by respectfully engaging with the studyfrontline team, district-level health officials,  facility heads in health facilities,pediatricians, staff nurses, ASHAs, ANMs, CHOs, Mothers, and family members inthe community to meet the highest metrics of success under variousprojects of the CEL.

Scope ofWork

      Empathetically listen, understand the needs of the health facilityteams, and accordingly strategize to co-develop effective communication.

      Trust and relationship building with mothers and families ofnew-borns/infants

      Regularly assist in preparing leader boards based on theindicators decided as per the needs within projects/strategy.

      Leverage existing district and block-level quality monitoringteams and mentoring teams of the health system.

      Assist the team leads in preparing and reviewing the facilityperformance benchmarks and monitor the project's progress according to itstimeframe.

       Document and preparedetailed weekly/monthly reports on each performance indicator of thefacilities.

      Identification and mapping of key stakeholders of the facilitiesbased on their roles and responsibilities.

      Communicate with district and block stakeholders likeadministration and health facility teams.

      Closely work with all other internal teams to oversee eachfacility's performance.

      Update MIS and different data sheets.

      Support the facility team in the Sustainability of a Mother andNew-born Care Unit and Mother and New-born Care Unit

      Improve the quality of care through monitoring and qualityaudit/assessment of facility and field team members.

Qualificationand Experience

      12thin Science with a Diploma (MLT/DMLT /Engineering) and five years experience inrelevant field OR Graduate degree is preferred with 3 years experience inrelevant fields OR fresh Post Graduate.

      ICMRage norms will apply and applicants must be age 28 years or below.

      Can do telecommunication-based respectful engagements withdifferent types of stakeholders regardless of whether they are senior or juniorlike doctors, hospital managers, staff nurses, etc.

      Can give constructive feedback, negotiate, and plan with theteam.

      Experiencein the ethical use of AI tools (chatGPT etc.).

      Proficient in MS Office like Excel, word, and presentation, canprepare detailed reports.

      Fair knowledge of basic data analysis, and is tech-savvy.

      Excellent communication and documentation skills in Hindi/English.

      Understanding and skills in regional/local spoken in differentregions
