Job description

Our client, a Retail Pharmacy company, is looking for a Reasonable Accommodation Analyst/Sr. Analyst for their Cumberland, RI/Remote location.

Responsibilities:
  • To ensure a positive experience for both hiring managers and candidates, we ask that all submitted contractors are fully vetted for interest, availability, and long-term commitment to the assignment.
  • Suppliers are accountable to present candidates who are genuinely committed to accepting and completing the assignment.
  • The Reasonable Accommodations Partner plays a key role in supporting the Reasonable Accommodations team by managing the initial engagement with colleagues requesting accommodation.
  • This position is responsible for facilitating the intake process and overseeing a variety of tasks related to accommodation requests, including the review of supporting documentation and responding to inquiries.
  • Additional responsibilities may include leading and engaging in the interactive process with colleagues, applicants, leaders, and Human Resources when a colleague or applicant requests a workplace accommodation to perform the essential functions or to enjoy the benefits and privileges of employment due to a disability, pregnancy/pregnancy related condition, or sincerely held religious belief.
  • The Reasonable Accommodation Partner ensures compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA/ADAAA), applicable federal and state laws, and company policies as they relate to accommodation requests due to physical or mental impairments, pregnancy or pregnancy-related conditions, religious beliefs, and circumstances involving domestic violence.

Requirements:
  • Verifiable High School Diploma or GED Required:
  • Candidates should not enter the process unless they are prepared to move forward with onboarding and begin work as scheduled. Frequent drop-offs during the background stage or shortly after start negatively impact delivery timelines and hiring team confidence.
  • Demonstrated direct, hands-on experience managing Reasonable Accommodation (RA) processes from an employer perspective
  • Experience limited to supporting roles or work within Third-Party Administrators (TPAs) is typically not sufficient
  • Understanding that TPA roles often do not involve active decision-making, which is critical for this position
  • Proven ability to independently evaluate and manage accommodation requests
  • Experience making accommodation determinations aligned with employer policies, compliance requirements, and business needs
  • Candidate will be working in a case management tool, so MUST be tech savy.
  • Candidate PPI - candidate must have private home working space set up and info on the computer should be accessible/viewable to anyone else but them - this will be tracked
  • Ability to handle sensitive conversations with colleagues regarding their Reasonable Accommodation request.
  • Maintain confidentiality.
  • Must have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high degree of accuracy.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Must have multitasking skills to manage outbound calls while documenting information received and handling case tasks which may include sending letters to colleagues who have disengaged from the interactive process.
  • Use of a case management system for all steps in the process is required, so prior use of case management software is recommended.
  • Recommended experience in administering reasonable accommodation requests and an understanding of ADAAA preferred but not required.
  • Discretion in dealing with confidential information. HR related experience a plus.
