Position Description:

As the Outside Sales Manager you will be responsible for planning and implementing strategies and operations across the US, including the support, coordination, and performance management of manufacturers’ representatives within assigned territories. The candidate must have 7 years or more experience selling. Additionally, you will manage your staff consisting of at least one ISR and FAE, partner with manufacturers’ representatives to drive territory growth, and work closely with other departments within the company i.e., Channel Management. The right candidate will be a self-motivated professional with proven managerial experience and an outstanding history leading outside business development, regional sales teams, and representative sales channels. This professional is accountable for all strategies, initiatives, actions, and revenue-driving activities. This role will oversee daily operations, optimize team efficiency, ensure KPIs are met, support representative engagement and accountability, and drive sales growth. In addition to being an excellent communicator, the ideal candidate will also demonstrate exceptional coaching and leadership skills to deliver profitable revenue growth.


General Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute strategic plans to achieve sales targets and company goals.
  • Responsible for planning, developing, and managing the Rep Organization, Inside Sales, Channel Sales for revenue growth year over year. 
  • Support and manage manufacturers’ representatives by providing sales direction, product training, account strategy, pipeline visibility, and regular communication to maximize territory performance.
  • Support and help manage Channel Sales operations, by providing sales direction, account transition product training, account strategy, pipeline visibility, and regular communication to maximize territory performance.
  • Establish strong relationships and communication frameworks across all company functions and drive cross-functional collaboration and coordination with all departments to support and execute strategic initiatives and tactical business plans.
  • Conduct effective resource planning to maximize the productivity of resources (people, technology, etc.).
  • Prepare sales reports, KPI data, and sales team performance for upper management.
  • Monitor manufacturers’ representative performance against sales goals, customer engagement, opportunity development, and forecast accuracy.
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by tracking emerging trends, attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, benchmarking state-of-the-art practices, and participating in professional societies. 
  • Hire, coach, and train personnel to maintain high customer service standards.
  • Develop and promote weekly, monthly, and quarterly sales objectives with weekly one-on-one meetings and bi-weekly pipeline review. 
  • Lead sales team quarterly reviews with top customers to develop forecasts and identify opportunities and trends. 
  • Strong mentoring, coaching, and leadership development skills.
  • Design and implement sales compensation plans aligned with industry’s best practices and benchmarks.
  • Embody and champion Infinite’s culture, values, and behaviors of Positive Urgency, Accountability, Ownership, Same-day Responsiveness, Collaboration, and Solution Orientation.
  • Ability to work from home (WFH), potential hybrid office environment, and travel as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned are to support overall sales objectives but may not be limited to the above list.

 

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Candidates will have strong people management and development skills to mentor, coach, and motivate others. 
  • Candidate will have strong people skills and business acumen with a customer-centric focus. 
  • Professional communication skills, written and spoken English.
  • Excellent listening, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Experience with CRM and ERP systems preferred.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • General computer skills, including solid working knowledge of Excel, Word, Outlook, MS Teams, PowerPoint, Call center software, phone systems.

 

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree 
  • Minimum of seven plus years of experience leading business development and regional sales.
  • Proven history of revenue growth of 10% or greater annually.

Physical Job Requirements:

This position requires working in both office and warehouse environments. Duties involve sitting, standing, walking, and using a computer for extended periods while preparing reports, analyzing data, conducting audits, and managing quality processes. The employee may occasionally bend, reach, stoop, or lift up to 25 pounds when performing inspections or reviewing materials. Visual ability to read computer screens, reports, labels, and technical documents is required, along with the ability to communicate effectively in person, by phone, and virtually. The role may require occasional travel and exposure to varying temperatures, moderate noise, dust, and other conditions common in warehouse and production environments. Candidates must be able to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.
