Job Location: Open to US Remote Candidates

Position Summary:

The primary focus of this position is the operation of ENERGY STAR programs including ENERGY STAR Retail Products Platform and Midstream Incentive Programs. The person will take full responsibility for developing, communicating, training, measuring and evaluating the success of the programs and effectiveness including preliminary through post program data management, expense management and revenue assurance and reporting. The position involves being very comfortable with every aspect of the ENERGY STAR Certified Product appliance sell-in and sell through information from the members and vendors along with all platforms of internal data structure. 

The role will also include working with other internal departments as well as external groups as well. The role requires multitasking between many different intricacies surrounding ENERGY STAR incentives, products, and retailers. 

Job Responsibilities:

Invoicing and Reporting: 

  • Communicating with internal and external parties to obtain reporting in a timely fashion
  • Creating data files and invoices for distribution in a timely fashion
  • Manages the compilation and reporting of all ENERGY STAR ESRPP and ENERGY STAR midstream Program receivables and reconciliation with accounting and utility program vendors
  • Creating a budget forecast for the following year by analyzing prior year performance and next year programs
  • Achieving budget by adjusting as programs and incentives progress and change  

Receivables and Payables:

  • Manages distribution of all midstream incentives to members 
  • Always maintain data security to protect member anonymity and security
  • Verifies payments received match payments earned and works with appropriate internal and external parties to rectify any errors 

Program Management:

  • Project Management
    • Facilitating projects from start to finish by working with various external EEPS parties and Nationwide Members, Staff and vendors
    • Utilizing IT Team and other parties to complete projects in a timely fashion
  • Planning and establishing all upcoming programs from inception through execution
  • Research, develop and manage all qualified products lists for all programs in coordination with the EEPS and ENERGY STAR team leads
  • Works with MSMs regarding payments to members and helping them understand the program
  • Implements all aspects of the MOUs with utilities
    • Includes required reporting, appropriate members, approved items, etc.
  • Manage all executed agreements and MOUs related to ESRPP and member midstream incentive programs which change routinely
  • Anticipating and predicting program changes that impact revenue and program success
  • Using all available data and people to find and create new programs 
  • Act as needed if the revenue assurance file from IT does not match the ESRPP upload
  • Works with IT on report development and validation
  • Verifies that all revenue is collected and takes action if payments are lagging from a utility
  • Ensures that revenue for all ENERGY STAR programs is optimized for both NMG and for the members; drives reporting to satisfy this objective
  • Helps man the ENERGY STAR booth at PrimeTime as applicable
  • Adds member stores to programs and manages other program changes
    • Using the member locations list and approved locations, find appropriate members, pull their sales data for appropriate categories, submit for approval
  • Works creatively to develop new insights and new ways to grow the program and improve program efficiency
  • Participates in and creates content for the annual POY Awards application 

Qualifications:

  • 3 years’ experience in ENERGY STAR Program Management.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Project management skills managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to present to large groups.
  • Ability to read, comprehend & write. 
  • Organizational skills.
  • Budgeting experience. 
  • US travel to our bi-annual PrimeTime Events may be required.

Job Competencies:

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Suite, especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with various personality types
  • Ability to negotiate contract terms for programs being managed  

Work Environment:

Must be able to read, write, and communicate both verbally and in written form to express and exchange ideas. While performing the responsibilities of this job, the employee must be able to access all components of workstation and other office equipment. Frequent typing, writing, bending, and twisting. Must be able to lift up to 10 pounds.

General office environment with moderate noise. This position is mostly sedentary, involves sitting most of the time, but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time. A busy environment with many unscheduled interruptions. Frequent computer use at workstation for extended periods of time. Public contact position requiring appropriate business apparel.
