Senior Fullstack Engineer

WearLinq is a groundbreaking healthcare startup, emerging from Stanford University, on a mission to democratize healthcare. Our integrated ecosystem of hardware, software, and services aims to bridge gaps between patients and healthcare providers. We have successfully launched our first product: an FDA-cleared 6-channel EKG wearable device accompanied by a patient-facing mobile application, offering seamless access to qualified physicians to diagnose and manage arrhythmia and reduce stroke risk. With an exciting pipeline of upcoming solutions for various disease conditions, we are poised for rapid growth. Our leadership team is primarily located in the San Francisco Bay Area and Singapore but our software team is in Poland working fully remote.

πŸ§ͺ Full-stack engineer with backend focus

We are looking for an innovative, self-motivated full-stack developer primarily responsible for building our next-generation Software as a Medical Device (SaMD) ECG diagnostics portal. The role includes everything from data ingestion and database design to modern front-end web. This role reports to Director of Software but you’ll have a lot of exposure to the entire leadership team with room to grow.

Minimum of 5 years experience in full-stack development, with a strong focus on backend technologiesBachelor's or higher degree in Computer Science, or a related field.Strong skillset in Javascript (TypeScript strongly preferred), Node.js, Next.js/ReactStrong experience with dynamic front-end rendering like progressive loading, continuous scrolling, and zoomingStrong experience with modern AI workflows.Strong experience with AWS serverless, distributed computing, and big data.Experience in managing infrastructure, databases, CI/CD, and DevOps, with a focus on scalability and security.Experience integrating 3rd party solutionsStrong SQL skills and experience with Postgres or similar RDBMS.Strong communication skills in English to liaise with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Experience building/leading DevOps practices
  • Experience working FDA software medical device regulatory environment
  • IEC 62304 (medical device software lifecycle) experience
  • ISO 14971 (risk management / hazard analysis) familiarity
  • 21 CFR Part 11–compliant audit logging
  • V&V protocol authoring (IQ/OQ/PQ, test plans)
  • Familiarity with healthcare, bonus if ECG arrhythmias

  • Architect and implement data models, API functionality, and RESTful interfaces
  • Help automate data-flows between different entities and organizations while maintaining HIPAA and SOC 2 compliance
  • Manage code in GitHub and maintain the CI/CD pipeline
  • Collaborate with other developers: AI/ML, iOS, Android, QA, and management to develop high-quality products
  • Engage with cross-functional teams including hardware and medical professionals to ensure a seamless user experience.
