As an Operations Geologist at BP Trinidad & Tobago LLC-Brn, you will play a critical role in supporting and optimizing drilling and well operations, ensuring safe and efficient well delivery through robust geological analysis and real-time decision-making. You will be instrumental in translating subsurface understanding into operational execution, contributing to the development and management of our oil and gas assets.
Responsibilities:
* Provide real-time geological supervision and support during drilling operations, including wellsite correlation, formation evaluation, and geosteering.
* Integrate geological data from various sources (well logs, seismic, cores, cuttings) to build and refine Depositional framework and Stratigraphic framework models.
* Conduct Geological Reservoir and Storage characterization to inform well placement and optimize production strategies.
* Perform Seismic Analysis, Seismic stratigraphic interpretation, and Seismic structural interpretation to identify and mitigate subsurface risks and uncertainties.
* Apply Petrophysical Seismic Reservoir integration techniques to enhance reservoir understanding and depletion planning.
* Utilize Geodesy and coordinate integrity principles to ensure accurate well positioning and data registration.
* Contribute to Integrated Well Delivery processes, collaborating with drilling, reservoir, and production teams.
* Participate in Geophysical surveillance programs and apply Non-seismic geophysical methods as needed.
* Assess and mitigate Geohazard Assessment during planning and execution phases.
* Support Depletion and Storage Development initiatives through geological input and analysis.
* Manage Subsurface uncertainty and risk throughout the well lifecycle, proposing solutions and contingencies.
* Contribute to Integrated Resource Progression and long-term field development plans.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's or Master's degree or equivalent experience in Geology, Geophysics, or a related Earth Sciences discipline.
* Validated experience in Operations Geology, preferably within the oil and gas industry.
* Demonstrated expertise in Depletion and Storage Developm.
* Strong understanding of Depositional framework and Stratigraphic framework.
* Proficiency in Geodesy and coordinate integri.
* Experience with Geohazard Assessment.
* Solid knowledge of Geological Reservoir and Stora characterization.
* Familiarity with Geophysical surveillance techniques.
* Experience in Integrated Resource Progressio and Integrated Well Delivery.
* Knowledge of Non-seismic geophysical method.
* Expertise in Petrophysical Seismic Reservoi integration.
* Proficient in Seismic Analysis, Seismic stratigraphic interpre, and Seismic structural interpretat.
* Ability to manage Subsurface uncertainty and ris optimally.
* Excellent communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.
