We work collaboratively with the Victorian State Government to ensure we fulfill regulatory requirements, deliver State projects and safeguard customer data. The Victorian State Government retains sole responsibility for road access, infrastructure and safety.

About the opportunity
We are introducing a new position created to support exciting growth at VicRoads, offering a rare opportunity to shape and deliver impactful inorganic growth initiatives. As Senior Manager Growth, you will play a pivotal, transaction-focused role, identifying, assessing and executing acquisition opportunities across key commercial areas, including Custom Plates and our Value-Added Services.
Reporting to the Head of Growth and working within the Commercial Leadership Team, you will operate with high visibility across our Executive Leadership Team and Senior Leadership Team. You will lead the development of a robust acquisition pipeline, conduct hands-on market analysis and drive opportunities from early engagement through to execution. Collaborating closely with internal teams and external advisors, you will influence strategic decisions while navigating a complex stakeholder environment.
This role suits a commercially astute, proactive professional with strong M&A experience and a “roll-up-the-sleeves” mindset, eager to make a meaningful impact on VicRoads’ growth trajectory.
About you
You are an experienced M&A professional who brings depth in transaction execution and a strong foundation in corporate development. You have a track record of independently driving complex workstreams, applying rigorous financial analysis and sound commercial judgement to inform investment decisions.
You are recognised for your leadership capability, with the ability to guide cross‑functional teams and deliver outcomes in fast‑paced, ambiguous environments. You build credibility quickly and communicate with clarity, enabling effective engagement with senior stakeholders and advisors. Pragmatic and outcomes‑focused, you balance attention to detail with a broader commercial perspective, demonstrating resilience, adaptability and a clear bias toward delivering results.
You will bring:
Proven M&A experience across acquisitions and divestments
Corporate development background with full transaction lifecycle exposure
Experience leading due diligence across commercial, financial and operational streams
Expertise in managing data rooms, and preparing Investment Committee and Board materials
Demonstrated capability in market scanning, target identification and pipeline development
Strong stakeholder management, including coordination of advisors and engagement at Executive/Board level
