Job description

Atlas is seeking an experienced Agile-fluent Project Manager to support a multi-workstream business transformation and technology delivery initiative for our client. This role will be responsible for keeping the project organized, on track, and aligned across business stakeholders, technical teams, leadership, and delivery workstreams. The Project Manager will manage sprint cadence, project governance, risks, dependencies, stakeholder communications, UAT coordination, and delivery reporting. The role requires strong execution discipline, excellent stakeholder management, and the ability to operate effectively in an Agile or hybrid delivery environment. This individual must be client-service oriented and commercially disciplined, ensuring delivery remains aligned to the approved Statement of Work (SOW), roadmap, requirements baseline, sprint priorities, and agreed governance model.

This role requires 20 hours per week during normal EST working hours.

Key Responsibilities

Project Delivery and Sprint Governance
  • Manage sprint-based delivery cycles, including sprint kickoff, mid-sprint clarification, sprint reviews, demos, action tracking, and follow-up.
  • Maintain the integrated project plan, roadmap, sprint plan, milestone tracker, RAID log, decision log, and action log.
  • Track progress across multiple workstreams, including data, reporting, application development, automation, testing, and DevOps readiness.
  • Ensure sprint priorities, approved requirements, workstream activities, and delivery commitments remain aligned.
  • Identify risks, blockers, dependency gaps, and scope concerns early, and drive timely resolution.
  • Support project governance, status reviews, steering committee preparation, and executive updates.
Agile Delivery Coordination
  • Facilitate Agile ceremonies and hybrid delivery routines in a practical, business-friendly manner.
  • Partner with product owners, business leads, technical leads, QA, and vendor teams to confirm sprint scope and priorities.
  • Track sprint outputs, carryover items, defects, decisions, and readiness for UAT or release.
  • Ensure feedback from sprint reviews is captured and categorized appropriately as a defect, clarification, backlog item, reprioritization request, or change request.
  • Help protect delivery focus by minimizing unnecessary meeting overhead and avoiding repeated review of previously approved requirements.
SOW Discipline and Scope Management
  • Manage delivery in alignment with the approved SOW, roadmap, project plan, requirements baseline, and governance process.
  • Reinforce scope boundaries in a professional, collaborative, and client-service-oriented manner.
  • Identify when stakeholder requests may impact scope, timeline, cost, dependencies, resources, testing, or release timing.
  • Partner with Atlas leadership to escalate material scope, commercial, resource, timeline, or dependency impacts.
  • Help ensure new requests, revised acceptance expectations, additional reporting, new workflows, or expanded functionality are managed through backlog prioritization or change control as appropriate.
  • Communicate tradeoffs clearly and constructively so stakeholders can make informed decisions without creating unmanaged delivery risk.
Stakeholder Management and Communication
  • Serve as a central coordination point across Atlas, client business stakeholders, technical teams, and leadership.
  • Build trusted relationships while maintaining delivery discipline and clear accountability.
  • Facilitate meetings, workshops, planning sessions, status reviews, and decision discussions.
  • Ensure decisions, risks, dependencies, open questions, and next steps are clearly documented and followed through.
  • Manage stakeholder expectations and help ensure timely feedback, decisions, data, access, approvals, and testing participation.
  • Prepare executive-level status reports, dashboards, meeting materials, and project communications.
Testing, UAT, and Operational Readiness
  • Coordinate workstream-specific UAT, end-to-end UAT, defect triage, retesting, and acceptance tracking.
  • Partner with QA, business users, and technical teams to support testing readiness and issue resolution.
  • Support release readiness, DevOps hypercare planning, production support coordination, and operational handoff.
  • Support change readiness activities, including stakeholder communication, training coordination, adoption planning, and transition support.
Required Qualifications
  • 5+ years of project management experience leading complex business and technology delivery initiatives.
  • Strong Agile delivery experience, including sprint planning, backlog coordination, sprint reviews, demos, UAT coordination, and delivery governance.
  • Experience managing cross-functional workstreams involving data, reporting, automation, software applications, integrations, or digital transformation.
  • Strong stakeholder management, executive communication, facilitation, and issue-resolution skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage scope, risks, dependencies, timelines, and competing priorities in a fast-moving environment.
  • Ability to be firm, clear, and collaborative when managing scope boundaries and delivery expectations.
  • Experience with project management and collaboration tools such as Asana, Jira, Smartsheet, Microsoft Project, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms.
  • Strong documentation skills, including project plans, status reports, RAID logs, decision logs, action trackers, sprint plans, and governance materials.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in life sciences, healthcare, market research, analytics, consulting, or client-facing delivery environments.
  • Experience with hybrid Agile delivery models.
  • Experience supporting UAT, release readiness, DevOps hypercare, and operational transition.
  • Familiarity with data management, reporting solutions, workflow automation, or application implementation projects.
  • PMP, Agile, Scrum, SAFe, Prosci, or related certification preferred.
Core Competencies
  • Agile fluency and sprint execution discipline
  • SOW discipline and scope control
  • Strong stakeholder and executive communication
  • Cross-functional leadership
  • Practical problem solving and decision facilitation
  • Risk, issue, and dependency management
  • Calm, professional escalation management
  • Change adoption and organizational readiness
  • Process improvement and operational discipline
  • Data-driven delivery management
Success Measures
  • Sprints remain organized, focused, and aligned to approved priorities.
  • Project delivery remains aligned to the approved SOW, roadmap, requirements baseline, and governance model.
  • Risks, issues, dependencies, and decisions are identified and managed proactively.
  • Stakeholders receive clear, timely, and accurate communication.
  • Scope boundaries are managed professionally without damaging client trust.
  • UAT, release readiness, and hypercare activities are coordinated effectively.
  • Approved requirements are delivered while scope, timeline, and delivery capacity remain controlled.
