About the role:

This role is focused on delivering exceptional service to a major customer in the grain processing and chemical manufacturing industry. As a Technician Service Representative, you will take a hands-on, customer-centric approach to supporting operations by providing technical service and expertise in cooling water and boiler applications. You will be responsible for ensuring Solenis chemical treatment programs operate effectively, meeting customer expectations, optimizing system performance, and complying with all relevant legislative and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities:

  • Sample and test cooling and boiler water systems, recording results accurately.
  • Investigate, troubleshoot, and rectify out-of-specification results.
  • Inspect, maintain, clean, and calibrate chemical dosing and monitoring equipment.
  • Collect and dispatch biological samples for laboratory analysis.
  • Perform cooling tower disinfection and decontamination activities.
  • Install and replace corrosion coupons as required.
  • Reprogram equipment and carry out manual chemical dosing when necessary.
  • Maintain high housekeeping standards and safe work practices.
  • Monitor and maintain adequate chemical stock levels.

About you:

  • Strong commitment to working safely with the ability to identify workplace hazards.
  • Good mechanical aptitude and practical problem-solving skills.
  • Understanding of basic chemistry concepts and their application or ability to learn
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical abilities.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to manage and prioritize workload independently.
  • Comfortable performing routine and repetitive tasks with consistency.
  • Proficient in using computers and digital systems.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Effective verbal communication skills with the ability to build strong customer relationships.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Trade qualification or a degree in Chemistry, Science, or a related field is highly desirable.
