Job Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced Workday Functional Consultant with deep expertise in Workday HRMS modules to join our team on a part-time remote engagement. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Workday implementation, configuration, support, and optimization, particularly within Compensation and Workforce Management modules. This role requires close collaboration with HR and IT stakeholders while providing support during Pacific Standard Time (PST) business hours.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide functional consulting, configuration, and support for Workday HRMS modules, including:

  • Advanced Compensation

  • Compensation

  • Time Management

  • Absence Management

  • Collaborate with HR, business users, and IT teams to gather requirements and translate business needs into effective Workday solutions.

  • Configure, test, and deploy Workday enhancements, business processes, and system updates.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve functional issues related to Workday modules and integrations.

  • Perform impact analysis and recommend best practices for process improvements.

  • Support Workday releases, updates, and ongoing system maintenance activities.

  • Develop and maintain functional documentation, test scripts, and training materials.

  • Provide user training and knowledge transfer to HR teams and end-users.

  • Ensure data integrity, security, compliance, and adherence to organizational policies.

  • Participate in stakeholder meetings and provide support during PST business hours.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 8+ years of overall experience working with Workday HRMS solutions.

  • Strong hands-on expertise in:

  • Workday Advanced Compensation

  • Workday Compensation

  • Workday Time Management

  • Workday Absence Management

  • Extensive experience in Workday configuration, business processes, security, and reporting.

  • Strong understanding of HR operations and workforce management processes.

  • Experience with Workday implementations, enhancements, and production support.

  • Ability to analyze business requirements and recommend scalable Workday solutions.

  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

  • Strong communication, stakeholder management, and documentation abilities.

  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment and manage multiple priorities.

  • Prior experience supporting global teams or clients across PST time zones.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Workday Functional Certifications in relevant HRMS modules.

  • Experience working in global HR transformation or Workday implementation projects.

  • Knowledge of Workday reporting, calculated fields, and dashboards.

  • Experience with change management and user adoption initiatives.
