Job description

Coho Consulting Group is seeking an experienced Senior Contract Analyst to provide expert acquisition and contracting support to the Department of Defense's Capability Program Executive Office (PEO) for Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear (CBRN) Defense Headquarters in Maryland. This senior-level position serves as a trusted advisor on acquisition strategy, contracting actions, milestone documentation, and program execution for high-visibility defense programs.

The successful candidate will provide expert analysis and recommendations to program leadership, support milestone reviews, participate in Integrated Product Teams (IPTs), and ensure acquisition activities comply with applicable Federal and Department of Defense regulations and policies.

This position is fully remote and may be performed from any location within the United States.

Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):

  • Provide expert guidance and recommendations regarding acquisition strategies, contracting approaches, and Acquisition Category (ACAT) program actions.
  • Review acquisition and milestone documentation to ensure compliance with DoD 5000 series directives, policies, and guidance.
  • Develop, review, and analyze acquisition documentation, including Acquisition Plans, Acquisition Strategies, Procurement Requests, Performance Work Statements (PWS), and supporting contract documentation.
  • Support a wide range of acquisition efforts utilizing Federal Supply Schedules, General Services Administration (GSA) contracts, Other Transaction Authorities (OTAs), Technology Investment Agreements (TIAs), and commercial and non-commercial procurement methods.
  • Conduct contract and acquisition analyses to support program management offices and senior leadership decision-making.
  • Participate in Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) and provide contracting subject matter expertise throughout the acquisition lifecycle.
  • Assist with milestone review preparation, documentation development, and briefing support.
  • Interpret and apply Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS), and DoD acquisition policies to complex contracting scenarios.
  • Identify acquisition risks and recommend mitigation strategies to support successful program execution.
  • Collaborate with government stakeholders, program managers, contracting officers, and technical teams to achieve acquisition objectives.

 

Essential Job Qualifications:

  • Clearance:
    • Active Secret Security Clearance Required
  • Education and Certifications:
    • Master's degree from an accredited college or university; additional relevant experience may be considered in lieu of advanced education where applicable
    • DAWIA Level III Contracting Certification, Defense Acquisition Credential, FAC-C Level III, or equivalent professional contracting certification
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 15 years of Department of Defense or Federal Government contracting experience.
    • Minimum of 8 years of senior-level contracting or acquisition experience.
    • Minimum of 8 years supporting DoD 5000 acquisition programs.
    • Demonstrated supervisory or team leadership experience.
