Graduate Actuarial Analyst

Actuarial Analyst – Home based with occasional travel to our Leeds office.

Capita are seeking a Graduate with some pensions experience to join our Actuarial Investment Technical Centre and start a career as an Actuary.

Study support will be available to study for the actuarial exams

Job Description:

What you will do:

• Calculations for actuarial valuations or other funding exercises 

• Specify scope of work and determine data requirements

• Specify data and information required for projects and liaise with suppliers of that information 

• Interrogation of data and pension scheme documents

• Calculations for pension scheme accounting (FRS,IAS/US GAAP)

• Specification of bases for individual and scheme funding calculations 

• Programming and running of actuarial valuation systems 

• Any other core routine tasks that are allocated to the ATC  

• Designing and running spreadsheet calculations 

• Drafting report, letters, memoranda and presentations  

• All of the above require data to checked/analysed/manipulated. Extensive use of actuarial valuation software will also form a large part of the role.

Your experience will include:

Essential

• A degree in a Mathematics related subject
• Some pensions experience either in a technical or administration role
• Advanced excel
• Looking to start a career as an Actuary
