Job description

The Implementation Consultant directly interfaces with customers and partners to deliver sustainable, scalable Workiva solutions that achieve desired business outcomes. This hands-on, customer-facing role involves configuring solutions, building process documentation, and training users across multiple concurrent engagements.

In this team-first role, you will apply established best practices, perform quality reviews of peer and partner work, and actively enable implementation partners to deliver to Workiva standards. The Workiva platform evolves constantly, so we are looking for someone who proactively adopts new product knowledge and shares insights to strengthen the team’s collective expertise.

What You’ll Do

Customer Delivery & Training

  • Solution Implementation: Manage customer process designs, execute data migration (mapping and transforming), and document processes for seamless handoffs.

  • User Enablement: Directly train end users or coordinate comprehensive training plans with customer teams.

  • Problem Solving & Scope Management: Independently resolve complex challenges, escalating efficiently when needed, while adhering to contractual scopes and utilization targets.

Quality Assurance & Best Practices

  • Quality Reviews: Evaluate peer and partner implementations to ensure adherence to Workiva best practices, exercising sound judgment on deviations and escalating significant issues.

  • Insights & Feedback: Identify trends in customer satisfaction and partner delivery, translating those experiences into structured feedback for product and professional services teams.

Partner Support

  • Partner Implementation: Support joint delivery engagements by guiding partners on Workiva methodology and platform behavior.

  • Partner Enablement: Lead technical enablement sessions to evaluate delivery readiness, and provide constructive feedback using solution rubrics.

What You’ll Need

Minimum qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in a related field

  • 3+ years of experience in service delivery, finance, accounting, audit, or a related role

Preferred qualifications

  • Experience with ERP, GRC, GL, FP&A, or Analytics & Reporting solutions and related technology platforms

  • Hands-on experience with the Workiva platform, other SaaS or cloud technologies, or data architectures

  • Consultant-level experience at a services firm or public accounting preferred

  • Clear, confident communication with customers and partners across technical and non-technical audiences

  • Comfort with ambiguity; strong instinct for when to solve independently and when to escalate

  • Self-motivated with a strong propensity for action, results, and continuous improvement

  • Ability to present topics clearly and succinctly across stakeholder levels

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace applications

Travel Requirements and Working Conditions

  • Up to 25% travel for customer and internal meetings
