Job description

 Senior Manager - Fund Accounting & Valuation - 6 Month Fixed Term Contract

This is a great job for someone who has good procedural, technical and product knowledge of the Luxembourg Fund industry, whether it is for public market fund or private market fund, including regulatory environment and best practices.

A bit about the job:

As Fund Accounting and Valuation Oversight Senior Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and timeliness of NAV calculations and asset valuations across a diverse portfolio of private and public market funds. You will be responsible for maintaining a robust NAV, pricing and valuation oversight framework within the AIFM, including the active supervision of fund administration delegates, independent appraisers, and external service providers. By ensuring that all controls remain effective and aligned with regulatory requirements, you will support the delivery of high-quality, compliant valuation processes. In this role, you will lead the final validation and sign-off of asset valuations and NAV calculations, contribute to the migration and oversight of fund administration delegates, and manage relationships with key third parties. You will also be responsible for escalating valuation discrepancies, operational risks, or breaches, while providing expert recommendations on valuation methodologies, accounting treatments, and policy enhancements. This position requires the interpretation of complex investment documentation and the application of advanced technical knowledge across both liquid and illiquid asset classes. Your work will directly enhance transparency, governance, and operational efficiency, ultimately strengthening investor confidence, supporting regulatory compliance, and safeguarding Aviva Investors’ reputation and fiduciary responsibilities, where accuracy and timeliness of decisions have a significant impact on fund performance reporting and financial disclosures.

Skills and experience we’re looking for:

  • Sound understanding of the Governance of an AIFM/Management Company

  • Sound understanding of pricing and valuation methodologies and valuation modelling for private market assets

  • Proven experience and skills in Valuation / Fund Accounting in the private and public markets Fund Industry (Lux GAAP and IFRS), including leading audit and able to write memos on complex accounting treatment

  • Organised, trustworthy, reliable, be able to act as Leader

  • ACCA (or equivalent) required
