Job Requirements: 

  • Experience 3+ years of construction estimating experience. Experience in the Australian construction market is preferred. 
  • Proficiency in estimating software and MS Office with strong understanding of construction methods and blueprint reading. 
  • Effective verbal and written skills and strong negotiation abilities. 
  • Attention to Detail, High accuracy in estimates with strong organizational skills.
  • Continuous Improvement Stay updated on industry trends and open to new technologies and process enhancements.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates and project budgets, including materials, labor, and equipment, ensuring alignment with project goals and constraints. 
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with clients, project managers, architects, engineers, vendors, and subcontractors to gather necessary information and provide updates on estimation progress. 
  • Maintain detailed estimation records, generate reports for management and stakeholders, and review project documents to ensure a thorough understanding of requirements. 
  • Implement process improvements, utilize estimating software and tools to enhance accuracy and efficiency, and stay updated on industry trends and advancements. 
  • Ensure estimates comply with industry standards and regulatory requirements, collaborate on project handover, and conduct post-project reviews to refine future estimates.
