The Senior Business Process Analyst will lead critical efforts to analyze, document, and improve business workflows - which may be complex, exception-ridden, and unstandardized today. This role is central to advancing how we define, manage, and automate core business processes, often in partnership with technical teams and AI-powered tools.

You will bring training and experience in structured analysis (such as Lean Six Sigma or similar) and pair it with strong data skills to identify opportunities, design better workflows, and help drive the evolution of real-world operations into cutting-edge, AI-enabled frameworks.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyze the AI Agentic framework (initially focused on Relay, with potential scope for Midgard and other applications) to determine what should be deployed, newly built, or adapted for specific accounts and use cases.
  • Identify process gaps and areas that can be optimized with AI tooling; collaborate with product and development teams to design new tools and agentic workflows.
  • Conduct investigations and analysis of failed AI prompts to identify root causes and improvements.
  • Pilot new AI agents for upcoming programs, test outputs, and optimize prompts to improve results.
  • Monitor production daily and track the status of deployed AI agents.
  • Identify gaps and propose enhancements to strengthen overall AI-enabled workflows.
  • Collaborate closely with the development team to iterate, refine, and implement improvements.
  • Improve prompts for AI agents based on agent results and ongoing analysis of system health.
  • Map and analyze existing workflows across business units, identifying inefficiencies, inconsistencies, and edge cases.
  • Develop and maintain clear, detailed documentation—process maps, SOPs, functional requirements—suited for both business and technical stakeholders.
  • Identify opportunities for standardization and automation, working with engineering and product teams to define what should be automated, how, and why.
  • Support the development of logic and structured inputs for intelligent systems (including rule-based and language model-based automations).
  • Leverage SQL and other data tools to validate assumptions, quantify opportunities, and measure the impact of changes.
  • Collaborate across functional teams to ensure new processes are both operationally sound and aligned with data architecture and systems.
  • Contribute to maturing the overall process discipline within the org by introducing structured methods and mentoring others informally through collaboration.

  • Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience in business process analysis, operations optimization, or related roles.
  • Proven experience driving structured improvement initiatives in complex, cross-functional environments.
  • Experience working with technical teams on systems integrations, process automation, or data-driven tools is highly valued.
  • Background in language services, localization, or high-complexity service delivery environments is a plus.
  • Interest in how AI technology works and how it can be applied to improve operations.
  • Intellectual curiosity and willingness to test, learn, and refine AI agent behavior by exploring system logs, outputs etc.
  • Demonstrable experience and/or strong interest using chat-based AI interfaces.
  • Experience working close to the business and understanding operational processes.
  • Institutional knowledge of Welocalize operations, including Pantheon, workflows, and major TMS platforms.

  • Education & Training:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field.
  • Strong preference for formal training and/or certification in Lean, Six Sigma, BPMN, or another structured process improvement methodology.

  • Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in SQL and comfort with large datasets.
  • Familiarity with business intelligence platforms—Power BI preferred.
  • Ability to produce high-quality process documentation using tools like Lucidchart, Miro, Confluence, etc.

  • Core Competencies:
  • Sharp analytical mindset with the ability to deconstruct complex processes and make them intelligible and scalable.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Comfortable operating with ambiguity and developing structure where none currently exists.
  • High level of initiative and accountability; able to own workstreams and drive them forward independently.
