Commercial Kitchen Service Technician

Full-time | Hourly (Non-Exempt)

What You’ll Do

  • Work directly with restaurant and hospitality teams to keep their kitchens running smoothly
  • Troubleshoot and repair equipment like ovens, refrigeration units, dishwashers, and more
  • Use schematics and diagrams to diagnose issues and find solutions
  • Coordinate with manufacturers and internal tech support when needed
  • Install parts and complete repairs efficiently and professionally
  • Keep customers informed and recommend additional services when it makes sense
  • Stay on top of paperwork like work orders, time tracking, and inventory
  • Follow safety guidelines and keep your work vehicle organized and stocked
  • Manage your time and workload to stay productive

What the Job Is Like Physically

  • You’ll be moving a lot—kneeling, bending, reaching, lifting (up to 70 lbs occasionally)
  • Working around heat, water, electrical components, and moving parts
  • Sometimes working on ladders, rooftops, or tight spaces

What You’ll Need

  • High school diploma (or equivalent)
  • At least 1 year of hands-on technical experience (refrigeration, HVAC, appliances, kitchen equipment, or similar—even military experience counts)
  • A valid driver’s license with a clean record
  • Willingness to be on an on-call rotation (nights/weekends)
  • Occasional overnight travel

Bonus Points If You Have

  • Certifications like EPA or CFESA
  • Experience working on commercial kitchen or refrigeration equipment
  • The ability to work independently and manage your own schedule
