Premiums

  • $2/hour Grader premium

Work Conditions  

  • Local applicants will be given preference due to the location of the work
  • As we respond to various weather patterns, shift work, on-call, and night shift will be required 
  • Work schedules will consist of either 5 consecutive days followed by 2 days off or 6 consecutive days followed by 1 day off, with daily shifts lasting 8 to 12 hours (Shop specific)
  • CLAC union position

Essential Responsibilities  

  • Operate Grader, and other heavy equipment as required  
  • Maintain Ontario Provincial Highways year-round
  • Work outside in all weather conditions  
  • Must be available for travel between shops
  • General maintenance on the equipment

 Qualifications  

  • Must have a minimum 3 years experience working in heavy equipment
  • Provide a copy of a 3-year driver’s abstract  
  • Previous experience operating a snowplow truck
  • Valid AZ or DZ driver’s license with air endorsement not required but an asset 
  • Highway maintenance experience an asset

Compensation

$25.50 - $33.50 per hour

This is the applicable wage range for this position. Individuals will be assigned a base wage within this range based on trade certification and/or apprenticeship level, industry experience, and work location.

Remote, site-based positions may be eligible for additional incentives including but not limited to travel and accommodation allowances.
