Job Summary:
The Director, Global Services, Eastern Region is responsible for the overall success of a portfolio of REMAX Canada franchisees (Broker/Owners) and their respective agents. This role serves as the primary point of contact, relationship manager, and liaison between franchisees and REMAX Canada.
The Director plays a critical role in driving organic agent growth, operational efficiencies and profitability, and retention for our franchisees by:
- Identifying owner/manager needs and creating tailored support and service plans.
- Leveraging internal resources to deliver operational, financial, and organizational guidance and consultative support.
- Supporting the execution of the Region Development department’s growth strategy, including:
o Achievement of net agent count in territory through ORGANIC recruitment and retention strategies and collaboration with our Global Sales team on conversions and M&A
o Increasing adoption of brand tools and programs (Aspire, MaaS, RaaS, MaxEngage, REIC Verification, etc.)
o Driving and upholding brand image and identity with franchisees in their portfolio (exterior signage, websites, yard signs, etc.)
o Proactively working with franchisees and REMAX corporate on renewals and accounts receivable
o Utilizing REMAX consultative methodology such as our internal Momentum program to provide operational and consultative support
Success Profile
The Director achieves success by:
- Relationship Development: Building and nurturing strong relationships with franchisees, agents, and strategic partners to advance business opportunities and deliver exceptional, responsive customer support.
- Business Reviews and Consulting Expertise: Conducting regular portfolio business review meetings to monitor and support growth plans. Utilizing new internal programs such as Momentum to drive franchisee operational success and growth.
- Measured Growth: Net Agent Count (organic recruitment and collaboration with Global Sales on conversions / M&A)
- Operational Excellence: Ensuring franchisee compliance with renewals, accounts receivable, and brand standards.
- Teamwork and Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partnering with Global Sales, Marketing, Public Relations, Product, Support, and Operations to deliver quality service and resolve customer needs.
- Market Awareness: Maintaining competitor intelligence and industry knowledge to inform strategy.
- Strategic Alignment: Executing region growth strategies that drive franchise sales, agent recruitment and retention, market share expansion, and profitability.
- Participation in brand and industry events.
- Standard Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Technical/Functional Expertise: Strong knowledge of franchise operations, contract negotiation, and industry practices.
- Customer & Relationship Focus: Anticipates customer needs, manages escalations with tact, and promotes brand culture.

- Results Orientation: Takes ownership of assignments, sets priorities, meets deadlines, and delivers measurable outcomes.
- Communication: Ensures accurate documentation in CRM systems and shares key insights with stakeholders.
- Thought Leadership: Acts as a trusted advisor and industry leader to REMAX affiliates and the broader real estate community.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Franchise Development, Business Operations Management, or Business Consulting (franchise and/or real estate background strongly preferred).
- Knowledge of current and emerging real estate industry practices, trends, and technologies.
- Demonstrated planning, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Strong presentation, communication, interpersonal, and dispute resolution skills.
- Proven ability to influence, collaborate, and build relationships across all organizational levels.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or related field (preferred).
- Track record of delivering results and managing multiple priorities effectively.
- Ability to set milestones, measure performance, and achieve targets.
