Key responsibilities
• Draft and negotiate commercial agreements including, but not limited to, supply and customer agreements, vendor agreements and co-manufacturing agreements.
• Analyse commercial contract provisions and provide the business team with updates, risk assessments and applicable legal guidance.
• Prepare and coordinate responses to customers, vendors and other third parties regarding contractual matters.
• Monitor and keep up to date on the latest developments in food-related laws and regulations.
Qualifications and skills
• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Active license to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
• Minimum of 5-10 years in-house or large law firm corporate experience.
• Strong background with complex commercial contracts.
• Demonstrated interest in growing experience in commercial areas.
• Ability to adapt and respond to unpredictable, fast-paced workflows and manage multiple projects at once while prioritizing appropriately.
• Significant attention to detail and ability to interact successfully with business and legal teams, customers and other third parties.
• Experience with food & beverage, food safety, chemicals or regulatory matters preferred.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills, superior analytical skills and the ability to manage client (internal and external) relationships.
The pay range for this position is $146,800.00 - $261,000.00 in Annual Salary. Kerry typically does not hire an individual at the top or near the top of the range, as we are a pay-for-performance company, and this range is set to continue to reward performance annually while in role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The specific compensation offered to a candidate within the above range may be influenced by a variety of factors including skills, qualifications, experience, internal equity, and Location. In addition, this position is also eligible to earn a performance-based incentive compensation.
