Job description

This is a remote position.

Superlanet is seeking an experienced Epic Ambulatory Analyst to support a healthcare client’s clinical systems environment. This individual will serve as a subject matter expert for Epic Ambulatory workflows, supporting system build, optimization, integrations, and end-user support within a collaborative healthcare IT environment. This is a direct hire opportunity with quarterly travel requirements.

The ideal candidate will bring a strong understanding of ambulatory operations, provider workflows, and Epic clinical applications. Experience supporting lab-related workflows, reference lab integrations, and Order Transmittal (OTX) functionality is highly desired. Candidates with strong Epic Ambulatory experience and transferable clinical workflow knowledge will also be considered.

Responsibilities

  • Build, configure, test, maintain, and optimize Epic Ambulatory applications and related workflows
  • Support ambulatory clinical workflows including provider documentation, results review, order management, patient throughput, and operational optimization
  • Support lab-related workflows including:
    • Reference lab integrations
    • OTX (Order Transmittal) functionality
    • Result routing and reconciliation
    • Base/common name maintenance
    • Lab naming conventions and workflow support
  • Collaborate with laboratory teams, integration teams, clinical operations, IT leadership, and external vendors to support workflow improvements and operational initiatives
  • Troubleshoot complex application, workflow, and integration issues while providing advanced break/fix support
  • Participate in workflow design sessions, integrated testing, system validation, and user acceptance testing activities
  • Support Epic upgrades, optimization initiatives, releases, and ongoing maintenance activities following change management best practices
  • Assist with interoperability initiatives including Care Everywhere, interfaces, and cross-system clinical data exchange
  • Develop and maintain documentation including workflows, testing scripts, build documentation, and support procedures
  • Provide go-live, post-live stabilization, and optimization support across ambulatory and ancillary clinical workflows

Required Qualifications

  • Epic Ambulatory Certification
  • 3+ years of experience supporting Epic applications within a healthcare environment
  • Strong understanding of ambulatory clinical workflows and provider operations
  • Experience troubleshooting application and workflow issues in a clinical setting
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Healthcare Informatics, or equivalent experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting lab workflows, reference lab integrations, or OTX (Order Transmittal) functionality highly desired
  • Experience with results review workflows, base/common names, and lab naming conventions
  • Care Everywhere certification or interoperability experience strongly preferred
  • Experience supporting HL7 interfaces, integrations, or interoperability initiatives
  • 5+ years of Epic Ambulatory experience within a healthcare organization
  • Experience supporting Epic Beaker or ancillary clinical applications preferred
  • PMP certification or advanced degree preferred

Salary based on experience. $100,000 - $120,000
